Broadacres Care home is purpose-built home based in a quiet residential area in Parkgate, near Rotherham town centre. There's plenty of parking for relatives, and the location benefits from good transport links into town.

High-quality person-centred care is designed for older people living at the home. Care services include dementia care, short and long care stays, plus respite care is available for those that need a break.

There are over 50 tastefully decorated bedrooms at the home, which are furnished with TV aerial sockets, Wifi and and nurse call systems. There is also wheelchair access.

Three spacious lounge areas are available for residents to socialise in, or to simply relax and enjoy quiet time. The conservatory is also a favourite area for people to relax and unwind.

Tasty and nutritious meals are prepared daily by the home's talented chef.

Parkgate has looked after my mother for almost eighteen months, and during that time, I have had no cause for complaint, quite the opposite.
My mother has been warmly cared for by sympathetic staff who seem to take the well-being of their changes sensitively.
I will always have a kind word for the
unit and its staff, because my mother seems happy and settled, and of course that is the only thing that matters.

My sister has been in this home for two years. Care is good but patchy due to large turnover off staff.

My mum stayed at Broadacres at Parkgate, it is a lovely home, not enough staff sometimes but the staff that are there do their best of what they have got. They don't get enough rewards for all their hard work and they don't get paid enough, either they should get both. I will continue to visit the home
as the residents are great too and they became good friends of my mum. The home is in a nice area and my mum didn't like it at first but she came to love it as her own home.

Lyndsey uses her experience to motivate the team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lyndsey said, “The Residents, the people. Hearing laughter in the home and supporting Residents to fulfil their hopes and dreams. Everything is possible with the right love and support behind you.”
