Elmhurst was recommended as an option over 7 years ago for our Mum who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We visited without an appointment and were so glad we did. The team at Elmhurst provide a friendly, homely atmosphere in which they care for all and their individual needs. Mum was cared for with great
compassion and dignity during her time at Elmhurst. The managers and the team provide an excellent service and have a great passion for caring for all at Elmhurst. This is because all are treated as family. The care that Mum received was excellent, especially during her last few weeks. We would recommend this to anyone.

Elmhurst is home from home, warm and welcoming friendly staff that are always willing to help with any enquiries or questions you may have. I know my mum is in good hands here, she is always laughing and smiling whenever we visit Elmhurst or see pictures of her involved in the activities they have been
doing that day that are posted for family members to see! We were sent regular postcard pictures of mum when there was no visiting because of lockdown to let us know mum was happy and okay! The care staff spend time with the residents at Elmhurst, from games of bingo to creative themes, they are always doing something to keep the resident's minds active and keep them socially connected. Elmhurst is spotlessly clean with good home cooked meals, as an ex care worker myself I think Elmhurst was an excellent choice for my mum, putting a loved one into care is never easy! But putting them into care in the time of lockdown was even harder! Elmhurst handled this situation professionally!

This is an excellent care home. My mum has not looked so well for a long time. The staff are all lovely, caring and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. Having worked in a care home myself as an administrator, I know how hard it is to keep everything going, especially in these challenging times.
You should all be so proud of yourselves!

Mum was cared for at Elmhurst for over 4 years. As with many elderly people, she could never have imagined that she would require the services of a care facility. Unfortunately due to my father, who was mum's main carer passing away in 2016, there was no other option. At first, we were all nervous about
the outcome, however, these fears were totally unfounded, and we soon realised what a caring and loving environment that mum had found herself in. From the very start, the care mum received was exemplary. She soon realised that she would not be able to cope by herself. All the staff at Elmhurst made us feel as if we were part of the family and we were always made welcome at all times. It is a homely place, which is spotlessly clean, and if you ever visited around lunchtime, the food always smelt delicious. We cannot thank the staff enough for the way that mum was cared for. She was obviously loved and respected by everyone who worked there.

My husband used to go in for respite, he became permanent a short time after. The home is very cosy, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They make you feel very welcome this home is a home from home, and I would recommend with no hesitation.
