My mother was a resident at Salroyd Villas from November 2017 until she died in March 2021.
I cannot speak too highly of the home and staff.
The home is not clinical looking, as are so many others. It is homely and furnished in a way that would reflect the residents own homes. Residents are able to
move around as they wished, not left to sit in a chair all day. Regular activities are held such as games, singers, movements to music.
Of course, as Mum died in March, I can't say whether they have managed to keep these activities on.
The staff regularly received updated training. They were all highly professional and efficient but also caring and compassionate. On my visits, I saw how residents were treated with patience and dignity.
I often turned up unexpectedly, so the staff were not prepared for my visit - nothing was stage-managed.
I and my family will be forever grateful to the management and the staff for the wonderful care they gave my mother.
