Summerfield care home took care of my mum at a time when she most needed it. She was at the home for several years and the care she received was excellent. I visited the home many times and witnessed first hand the consistent level of care she receives. The staff are excellent.

From entering the building and being greeted by name by the staff to their response when I need help with my husband (frequently) they are all so positive and quick to respond.
Everyone has helped me to accept I can no longer look after my husband and made my visits to Summerfield a pleasure. Watching
the staff work has helped me to learn new skills and coping strategies. I thank them all.

All the staff are kind caring and very patient and make me feel very welcome. Out of the four homes, (my partner has been in three before Summerfield), I'm happier with this care home and he seems more settled here.

The residents are treated like family, with respect, patience and understanding. Summerfield is always clean, well maintained and welcoming. The staff are always very friendly. They really take time to get to know the residents and their families. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mum stayed at Summerfield for nearly 3 years. The management and staff were always very kind, patient and professional in their care of her. Mum was often extremely confused and wanting to challenge all physical boundaries in her attempt to return to normality in her memory. Staff often had to comfort
and reassure her that Summerfield was her home and she was safe there. Mum loved being outside all her life so being able to come and go from a secure enclosed garden was vital to her happiness. This she had at Summerfield, once they had secured their boundaries.
I wish to thank all fo the team for their affectionate and patient care.

I have been very happy with the care and attention my mother has received over the past two years.
She had an individually tailored plan to suit her needs and everything possible was put in place to help her as her dementia became worse.
Her final weeks as her health deteriorated were made as good
as possible by the professionalism and care of staff. Very responsive to needs and requests.
The standard of the home is very good with improvements constantly made.

Generally very satisfied with the care of Mum who passed away 02/12/2015. One point any article of sentimental/ value should not be left with the resident they sometimes go missing. This was the case with Mum who either misplaced / lost / or gave away two items of jewellry of great sentimental
value to me. A safe is available at the home.

Mum's room is always spotlessly clean, the staff are always extremely helpful, friendly and conscientious, their devotion to the people in their care never ceases to amaze me. I don't think mum could be better looked after anywhere.

Chloe has worked at Summerfield Since January 2019.
She was employed as a care assistant then was promoted to a senior several years ago.
For the past 12 month Chloe has been working several days a week along side the home director learning the ropes. She now works several days on the administration side of the business.
