Just wanted to say that I'm delighted with the standard of care provided by the staff at Aden View for my mum who has been a resident since last summer. We worried whether we had done the right thing when we decided to take my mum to the home but it's heartwarming to see how happy and engaged she is
now she's settled. And the care and friendship demonstrated by the staff - and reciprocated by my mum - makes us feel very reassured.

Mum is being well looked after in these difficult times. It is very reassuring that mum is safe. The staff are helpful and are always ready to help. Mum is doing well and I would recommend Aden View Care Home to anybody who needs to find care for a loved one.

I would like to thank the management and staff of Aden View for looking after my mum so well for the past five years. Unfortunately, we lost her on Tuesday, but not before she got the chance to celebrate (if socially distantly) her 100th birthday in June. Everyone worked so hard to make this a fabulous
day for her, ensuring that she received over 160 cards including one from the Queen, her party will remain as a high point in my memory. This year has been so difficult for everyone but especially for the staff having to manage their own health and that of those in their charge. I can only say that I have felt completely secure in the fact that my mum was receiving the best care possible in our absence. I feel that they have gone above and beyond in caring for her and keeping me advised all along the way. Thank you to each and every one of you. I am so glad we chose Aden View for her home.

Despite the present circumstances, the loving care and attention given to our father at Aden View is very reassuring. The enjoyable times of personal visits to Dad are not possible right now but we are very grateful to ALL the staff for providing us with effective ways to communicate via video and one-to-one
chats over the railings when permitted to do so. The welcome offered is genuine, often entailing walking that extra mile to make it perfect. Dad’s 99th birthday celebration is one we shall cherish, thanks to the extraordinary effort and help of the manager and staff. Any constructive comments expressed are both graciously received and actioned quickly and satisfactorily. Visits to Dad by friends and relatives have resulted in complimentary tributes about the home. It is with a deep sense of grateful appreciation that we say ‘thank you’ to the manager and staff for ALL that you do in making our Dad happy and comfortable.

My mother is in Aden View, initially a discharge from hospital in April 2020, then a longer stay for full assessment of her needs. This review is taking place during Covid-19, so I have not been able to visit my mother in the home. It is based on my interactions with staff and comments from my mother.
My mother is not easy to please and is not shy to make her views known!

The manager and her staff had to be our fathers family in his final days. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
Taking and caring for him when we, his family, could not be there for him. Never felt I was pestering when ringing up to see how dad was doing. We were able to see dad on video link.
He was in his room getting cared for with lovely classical music playing.
The manager said she would sort out the undertaker when the time came. When that call came the staff were so caring and were checking to see if I was alright. Before she went off shift the lady staff member called back to see if I was doing okay and to say the undertaker had come to take dad.
Aden View was dad's home for nearly 6 years. 6 happy years. It’s a happy home full of fun. Dad was very happy and settled.
Covid 19 the deadly virus meant we couldn’t be with dad, but never once over the past week think dad was not getting care his family wanted.
The manager and your staff thank you for taking care of our dad.

Although I have not been able to visit my aunt at Aden View during the period she has been there, because the last five weeks have coincided with the Coronavirus lockdown period, I would like to say thank you to all the staff I have spoken to on the telephone.
They have always been very polite and
courteous, and of course, very professional. This is just a general impression I have received from speaking with them. They have been quick to pass the telephone on to my aunt, emphasizing always that this was no trouble. They were always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that family members were able to keep in contact with my aunt during this difficult period. The Manager has been very polite and kind, and I am sure that the empathy they have shown in my telephone conversations with them, is reflected in the high level of care and compassion they give to their residents. Thank you once again for doing such a good job. Excellent staff and management.

Mum really likes spending time at Aden View.
The manager is very motivated and this shows across all aspects of the home. The staff are kind and attentive, the routine in the home is engaging for its clients. The home is being renovated and the renovations are being done to a great standard. Dad breathed
a sigh of relief when I told him mum was going to Aden View.

Dad has only been at Aden View for a short time but has settled in well and he enjoys talking to the staff, likes his room and is very happy with the full English breakfast and plentiful cups of tea!
As a family, we are always made welcome and any concerns are immediately dealt with.

The difference the staff have made to my mother's life is wonderful. I can't thank them enough. I myself was a carer for over thirty years and I know it is a thankless job but this place I feel is outstanding.

My mum has been in Aden View since the beginning of September 2019, and from our very first visit to view the home and every subsequent visit all the staff have been nothing but friendly and show all the residents both respect and care. It's good to see mum being so well looked after both in terms of
meals and her personal appearance. Mum has been diagnosed with dementia, and even though it is advancing the care that the home is giving hasn't diminished. All of the family that have visited mum have commented about how friendly the staff were with them.

I applied for the home administrator position in 2009 and have been the admin since then, I have NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care and level 3 in Business Administration.

I have worked at Aden View for nearly 5 years in total. I joined in 2019 supporting the kitchen team before taking on the activity coordinator position in January 2024. I have always worked in the care sector, starting with caring for my mum at home before she passed away, I then worked in elderly care and also in supported living looking after clients with different complex needs. I’ve held senior positions and have care certificates plus NVQ levels 2 and 3 in care and completed all mandatory training.
