A very caring, loving and safe environment is maintained at Botham Hall. I found the care given to my mother over the last two and a half years outstanding, adapting as her need for help and care became more acute. Nothing was too much trouble and although I live a number of miles away I was kept fully
informed of mum's state of health and I was always able to speak to her when I rang and visit at any time of the day or night.
Choosing a care home for your loved ones is not easy but choosing Botham Hall was one of the best decisions I made for my mum.
I would recommend Botham Hall Care Home to anyone wanting a home for their loved ones.

My father has been a resident at Botham Hall for nearly five years now, and from day one I have been very happy with the care he has received.
The staff are great, they treat everybody in a friendly, happy and respectful manner (even when my father gets a bit grumpy, as he does sometimes). The food
looks good and is quite varied. Regular activities are on offer which residents enjoy. When I go and visit my father he is always clean and tidy, the staff take pride in residents' appearance.
I know that my father's needs are being well looked after and that he is well-fed, warm, safe, clean, has company when he wants it, privacy when he doesn't.
When my father's care needs got way beyond my capabilities and I had to start looking at residential care for him, I visited a number of other care homes in and around the Huddersfield area, and Botham Hall was the one that felt 'homely'.

The staff are very attentive and friendly, I know that my Grandma is well taken care of here. Due to her condition, she can be quite difficult at times but the staff are great at dealing with her.

My mother was admitted to Botham Hall on 2nd May 2019 and from the start, the staff were not only very efficient and caring but they also seemed interested in mum but the attention made mum feel that little bit more special. We had transferred mum from a home in the next town, but Botham Hall is only
ten minutes away from our home. Much more convenient. Within a week, we were shown a comprehensive care plan for mum and asked for comments, so that the care could be improved. We never saw anything like this at the previous home. Mum's room is always clean and tidy whenever we call, and despite a bit of confusion, mum always seems happy. There are frequent activities for the residents and mum likes the quiz time the most. Some of the residents can be demanding at times, but the staff are well trained to cope with these issues. The staff appear to have the patience of Saints and we can't fault them. We are always made welcome and we are always consulted about decisions of her care.

Botham Hall seems a really lovely place. My grandma is really happy here. The staff are all very friendly when you go and visit, her room is always clean and tidy. My mum is so much happier knowing than my grandma is looked after day and night. This care home is so much better than the previous one
and the staff are 10 out of 10. Thank you.

My uncle (I am his next of kin) is 96 and has been resident at Botham Hall Care Home since June 2018, as he is physically and mentally unable to live on his own. Throughout this period he has received very professional and compassionate care and his health and wellbeing have been maintained to the
highest possible level. On my visits to him, I've always found him to be comfortable, clean and well-cared for. The staff of the care home always keep me up-to-date with his general state and immediately ring me if there is any hiccup in his condition. The staff all "go the extra mile" - buying him more clothes, little treats of chocolate and so on as he needs them. I chose Botham Hall because my mother spent the last 9 months of her life there, and I had nothing but the highest praise for the care she had received. Nothing has changed in their standards.

My mother has been at the home for six months now and in that time has settled in well. The staff are friendly and helpful and provide regular activities.
Her room is kept clean and tidy and she enjoys her meals. So overall we are quite happy with how she's looked after.

We came to see dad at 10.30am. Dad was washed and dressed and had had breakfast. The room was clean and tidy.
The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Dad was very chatty and cheerful. He was very smiley and happy to see us all especially the little children.
My son took the great-grandson
to see all the ladies in the dayroom.
We had a good visit. Thank you.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's, was admitted to a care home and after 24 hours the manageress decided she wanted him out.


My social worker approached Botham Hall, the manageress saw my husband and agreed to take him. From day one he was treated with the utmost respect and he settled down very well.

I asked him if he was happy there and, in spite of his condition, he managed to say yes and that he was lucky. That made me happy!

As I live in Durham, I do try and visit Mum as often as I can, but can only say when I arrive and unexpected I get a very warm welcome from all of the staff no matter how busy they all are. The home is immaculately clean and very fresh with a lovely atmosphere. My mum has been there now over 9 years
and is very happy and contented. I couldn't wish for a more loving home for my mum who is now 92 years old. Thank you to all the staff for looking after her and all her needs so well.

Botham Hall Care Home care home meets all my mother's requirements. The home is clean, comfortable and homely for the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and manager, even to the point of personal attention. The staff treat all residents with compassion and respect whatever the resident's
situation maybe. I have peace of mind my mum is being well cared for at all times.

My father moved into Botham Hall in March 2014. He wasn't very happy to go there initially as he felt he could still cope at home, which was not the case as he had become a danger to himself. The staff were so friendly and welcoming that he settled in very quickly. He had always been a very private
man and the staff respected this whilst encouraging him to get involved in activities and trips as much as he was able or wanted to.


In all the time my dad was there, I never heard any staff manager raise their voice to anyone, no matter how provoked. They were always smiling, patient and caring, right until the very end. They cared for and loved my dad and for that, I shall be forever grateful.

We never expected my mum would need to go into a home. All the news items talked about a crisis and neglectful care. Nothing could be further from the truth, as far as Botham Hall is concerned. My mum had 6 wonderful months receiving amazingly good care from a team of very committed individuals. The
activities helped to keep her busy, she loved all craft work and this gave her great delight in painting and pottery. The food was wonderful, she ate everything, and this from a fussy eater. We could visit anytime and that's great as I live 200 miles away. We were able to make her room homely including her own chair and her adjustable chair in the lounge. The staff were always providing us with updates and stories about her, which helped immensely living so far away. Overall the staff made the place what it was, 100% caring and nothing is too much to help our relatives. Sadly mum died in February in the home and with us by her side. The staff were as upset as us.
If I need a care home it's this one!

Our mother was resident at Botham Hall Care Home from July 2016 until February 2017 when she sadly died. Mum had suffered from Alzheimers Disease and had been living with my family (daughter) in the months before she moved into care. Botham Hall staff were fantastic from day 1, the way that they welcomed
and warmly cared for mum and supported us, especially in the first few weeks as she settled in. However, they were even more impressive with the quality of care offered at the end of her life recently. They ensured mum was always expertly cared for with love, patience and great attention and all the staff made myself and the rest of the family feel greatly supported and cared for through this difficult and we cannot thank them enough.

My mum is a resident in this care home, she has been there since 1 Feb 2016. Since she arrived there she has been so relaxed and chilled out because she hasn't any worries and she is so happy. She likes living there, says she is well looked after, so that makes me and my family happy that she is getting
the care she needs.

I would recommend the staff are friendly and go out of their way. The rooms are kept clean while my mum was there, I rate it very highly. All residents are treated with respect. Plenty of choice in food. I know I made the right decision for my mum. She was safe and the rooms are a good size and they
can bring their bits and pieces and own televisions.
