My mother is very content and comfortable and feels secure; well cared for and cared about. I am always made very welcome and never feel like a "customer" but part of the family. My questions or concerns are always taken seriously and sorted out quickly and cheerfully. Support from medical services
is always accessed quickly and smoothly and I am always kept informed of outcomes.

My mother has been in Park Riding care home for a few years now and has been very well looked after, with no complaints from her re her care. With being nearly blind and immobile her move to a downstairs room has been most beneficial, as everything she needs to do is within a short distance, which suits
her walking with zimmer frame. The home management was involved in mother visiting hospital twice last year, both found unnecessary. A new plan is now in place with the GP.

Whenever I go to visit my mother, I always get a warm welcome from the staff.
I sit and chat with my mum and two other residents that sit near her, and the atmosphere in the room is always very pleasant.
My mum seems genuinely peaceful/relaxed whenever I go to visit her, and I am very happy with the
level of care that my mum is receiving.

Always made to feel very welcome when visiting my father at Park Riding.
My father has been here 3 1/2 years and since entering his health has improved.
The management always keeps me up to date with my father's treatment.

My aunt has been at Park Riding since August 2017. Following the initial settling in period, she is now happy with her life at Park Riding, Her every need is taken care of and I cannot praise the staff enough. I visit twice a week and I am always made to feel very welcome.

My mother has been a resident at Park Riding since November 2017 and I have to say the care is second to none and far outreaches our impression of care homes in general. Her needs are becoming more challenging due to vascular dementia, but I feel she is treated with patience and dignity by the management
and staff who are friendly and approachable always making time for us. Would definitely recommend.

Realising that an elderly parent has reached the stage where 24-hour care is the only option is a difficult and upsetting time. Not having had any previous need to look into this situation it was somewhat of a relief to speak to and discuss our concerns with the managers at Park Riding. Myself and my
sister felt reassured and listened to throughout this process. Our worry was how mum would adapt to the Care home setting having lived alone for 10 years and not had much contact with people outside the home previous to this as had not worked since marrying in 1955. It turns out we need not have worried as after the initial couple of weeks mum appears quite settled and accepting of her situation. We feel this is due to the genuine care and attention given by the excellent staff and managers at Park Riding.
Mum has a comfortable room with a few personal items which we were able to bring in, hopefully, things still familiar to her.

Tuesday, 14 November's visit was uplifting. The residents were enjoying a 'Nostalgia Morning' with thought-provoking props including memorabilia from the 'Make do and mend' war years. Resident's anecdotes were enlightening and the session provoked lots of laughter. The session ended with the tuneful
and word perfect singing of war time favourites, when I thought it couldn't get any better the singing moved on to regional songs linked to the area where residents had lived. Dad was definitely enjoying himself and remembering snippets from his childhood.
My visits are always enjoyable, dad is treated with dignity. The care and support is outstanding. Staff are approachable and helpful.
Dad and his family are so glad we found Park Riding.

Visiting my uncle in Park Riding Care Home has always been a very pleasant experience. The staff are extremely caring and treat the residents as if they were their own relatives. Being 77 years old I have visited quite a lot of care homes to see various friends and relatives but I would describe Park
Riding as the best.


I have never come away thinking there was any issue big or small that I needed to contact his daughter about. He is happy there, looks well and really enjoys his food. There is always some activity going on to keep his best interests too. 10/10.

My mother, when entering Park Riding for the first time, was welcomed with open arms from the staff. She suffered from severe arthritis and dementia, which at times, made life difficult for her but the dedicated staff nursed her with sensitivity, empathy and affection and made her feel safe. More importantly,
they allow her to retain her dignity.
After five years in residence, sadly my mother passed away. During her final days, myself and all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren surrounded her with love, and the support from the staff was exemplary. I am eternally grateful.

As a family, we experienced a poor and then a "satisfactory" care home before discovering Park Riding. It is not smart or luxurious and its facilities and entertainments are limited, but of far greater importance is the attitude and ethos of management and staff. They care. We think it is no coincidence
that the staff turnover seems to be very low. We have seen few new faces since my aunt went there first in 2010 and then my mother in 2012. Likewise, the residents seem to live to a ripe old age and all look extremely well looked after. Unlike in so many homes, you will not detect even the faintest suggestion of unpleasant aromas as you enter and neither will you need to search for staff. They are with the residents, caring for them, not forever outside on a "fag" break. My mother now refers to Park Riding as "home".

We visit our uncle every few weeks and have never found any reason to complain about the home.
The staff are lovely with both residents and visitors, always doing activities like singing, cards etc.
The place is like home from home.
Our uncle is so happy there and has put back on the weight he had
lost.
Lovely place would always recommend it.

Park Riding make Christmas a very special time. Mum looked well and happy. The staff relate well to the residents and are always cheerful. A festive drink was available to all residents and their visitors. Arrangements are made, if possible, for family visits to be made in a quieter and more private
area. Residents were involved in creating some of the decorations and the home looked very festive.
