Ever since our dad has been in Lofthouse Grange Care Home, we, his family, have noticed how much calmer he is, much more than when he was living at his own home with carers visiting three times a day. Lofthouse Grange Care Home is heaven, and so are the staff who work there. As a family, we cannot express
how grateful we are to have our dad in such a caring environment. A massive thank you to all who work at this excellent care home.

I believe what the staff do within their role is great. Some are real stars to your care home and go above and beyond to care for their residents.
The only concern I have is on a floor that is seen to have a high level of needs, complex needs and residents bound to their rooms. That although you have
staff on the floor. Sometimes it’s hard for them to split themselves into two to ensure every resident gets what they need. My view is only a snapshot. But I would say that more heads would be required to ensure that all the residents feel the value.
You can see on occasion that they can be bored. Wondering up and down looking for something or someone to talk to.
The care staff not only do personal care, complex care, medicate, feed, entertainment. Sometimes I feel that one-to-one (for games, going out, having a chat, reading a book) would be good.
I know there is activity time. But I feel that some residents would benefit from one-on-one personal interaction.

I very rarely write a review about anything but I feel I need to regarding Lofthouse Grange.
We have had a very difficult year in contemplating whether or not to put my mum in care but the time came and for us unfortunately the first home we decided on just was not suitable for my mum's needs so we
looked elsewhere and thankfully we found Lofthouse Grange. From the very first day, my mum settled in and was made very welcome by all the staff especially one staff member in particular. From that day on Mum has been treated with the most sincere love and respect that I see all the residents there receiving. The staff work very hard in making sure the residents are comfortable and happy and in my opinion, that’s what’s important.
Thank you to all the staff at Lofthouse Grange for making this care home a very happy and lovely environment for my mum to spend her days, and a huge thank you to the lady who looks after the entertainment and activities that all the residents absolutely love.

I left my mum, who has Alzheimer’s and stayed at the Lofthouse Lodge for a week’s respite care. She was fine when I collected her and said everyone had been very nice. I received two calls while I was away which reassured me that she had settled in well. I will be booking her in again for my next respite
break.

Dad was looked after well during his two-week respite. No problems with the staff, the food was good, and they looked after him. A couple of dads photographs went missing and are yet to be found. Overall happy with Lofthouse Grange.

Cannot praise all of the staff enough. Mum is treated with dignity and kindness. Have not seen her smile this much in a long time. Everything is excellent, not a single negative thing to say at all.

I would like to say what a lovely team of people work there they are loving, caring, helpful and very patient. The rooms are very comfortable and cosy.

My aunt spent almost two years in the Grange before sadly passing away. She was so happy and well cared for there. The staff went above and beyond our expectations to make her comfortable in her final few weeks. I would like the staff and management to be thanked for making my aunt's final years happy.

My aunty was a resident from November 2021 to October 2022. She was looked after very well and respectfully by the staff and enjoyed her time there until her death. I felt that she got the level of care and thoughtfulness that she would have had at home.

I have found all the staff at this care home to be extremely friendly, helpful and caring making us as a family feel included in our mother's care. They treat my mum with dignity and respect her wishes. The standard overall is very good but due to pressures of staffing because of Covid-19 and fewer
people wanting to work in the care industry, occasionally there are reduced staff levels despite them using an agency and employing new staff. The situation is very common in all care homes and is out of their control. I have worked in the NHS as a health care professional for over 40-years and would recommend this home to anyone searching for a safe, friendly and caring home for their loved one.

Was difficult during lockdown to get the communication going and updates on mum. Once we could visit within the home it was much better. The staff are so caring nothing was too much trouble I felt very reassured mum was safely looked after. In her final days, the staff were all there for mum and us.

My mam moved here on September 15th 2021, as her previous home was closing down. The transition made was flawless (home managers were excellent). We were made very welcome, as was my mam. Staff introduced themselves and keep us updated. Clean, big room. Food looks lovely. Communication very good.

My lady friend has been in Lofthouse Lodge for over five years now. The kind caring staff look after her like they would a family member. It’s been difficult during the last year as we haven’t been able to visit, but I’ve been kept fully informed of everything that has been happening, had regular video
calls from the staff, which has been lovely and also reassuring to actually see that she is okay.
I had my first visit last week, which was all really well organised, and I felt safe and very well looked after.
The activities that are provided at Lofthouse at the moment are absolutely brilliant, the pictures tell their own story, the residents all look so happy, it’s lovely to see.
I have found the manager very approachable, and easy to talk to, should you need her for anything. I feel comfortable in that my friend is well looked after and receiving the best possible care.

What can I say, Lofthouse care home have been amazing in taking full care of my mum's needs from start to finish. The transition from her own home to this care home was a smooth process, and the management has been fully cooperative throughout the more and whilst my mum has been in the care home.

Every member of staff have the same ethos, very caring and understanding of individual needs. They cared for my dad in his last months when Mum and I couldn't. Every part of the home was spotless and well looked after. I know my dad went into the best possible care home and received the best care possible.
I know I chose right and that helps. Can't thank the team enough and always recommend Lofthouse Grange & Lodge. Fantastic during covid.

My brother and I are delighted with the care and support he received. The staff are very approachable, friendly and professional. The services are excellent. The rooms were clean and very suitable for their purpose. The food was very tasty and tea was available regularly. The staff on the wards took

Our 86 year old mum fell and badly broke her arm in mid December 2020. She was hospitalised for 4 weeks and then required respite and recuperation. As a family we were worried and anxious about finding the right care home. What a blessing to find Lofthouse Grange and Lodge. From the first conversation
with the home manager to the moment when Mum returned home, absolutely everything about the care and support was amazing. The unit manager and team were absolutely brilliant in looking after Mum with reassurance and kindness at this extremely difficult time. Particular mention must be made on the communications that we as a family had with both the home and unit manager which were open, honest and always with a willingness to help in any way possible. We thank you so much!

My dad has resided at Lofthouse Grange & Lodge for over 3 years but this year, due to Covid, has been extremely difficult for all the residents and their loved ones. Having visited Dad on a regular daily basis I was truly beside myself wondering how he'd cope not seeing my sister and I but my angst
was soon put to rest, all the staff within the home have done, and still are doing, a tremendous job. My dad is well cared for and more importantly loved, his changing needs are met on every level. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the care, love and dedication. Thank you so very much.

I am very happy with the care my husband gets and it's 100%. I am very happy with all staff on the unit that my husband gets. I don't think I could have got anywhere nicer.

My name is Krzysztof Bialczyk, and I am the Home Manager at Lofthouse Grange & Lodge Care Home. I have dedicated many years to the care sector, gaining extensive experience in managing residential and dementia services. My passion for providing high-quality care and support to residents has driven my career and led me to this rewarding role.


Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals living with dementia. I am committed to fostering a compassionate, safe, and stimulating environment for our residents, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care.


At Lofthouse Grange & Lodge, my role involves overseeing the daily operations of the care home, leading and supporting our dedicated team of staff, and implementing best practices in care delivery. I work closely with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to create individualised care plans that promote well-being and enhance the quality of life.


I am proud to be part of an organization that prioritizes the health, happiness, and dignity of our residents. My goal is to continue building a community where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to live fulfilling lives.
