The activities and wellbeing team design weekly activities programmes that are tailored to residents and participation is encouraged to offer structure to the day whilst improving residents' physical, social and psychological wellbeing.

    Springfield Care Home operates a protected meal time system to allow the team to focus on the residents and making sure they get the most from their dining experience. The home politely asks visitors to observe these meal times, to allow residents to enjoy their meal in a quiet and relaxed environment. Visitors are more than welcome to join their loved one at meal time with prior arrangement.

Mum was accepted into the home 3 months ago following discharge from hospital due to a fall and with delirium. The home immediately sought to deal with Mum (95, dementia sufferer) and general condition has improved immensely. All staff are great, attentive and down to earth.

Mum has been in the care home for a long time and the care she receives is excellent, she herself says how nice the carers are something I wholeheartedly agree with.
They are all always friendly, attentive, professional, helpful and respectful. The only fly in the ointment is communication. I'm not
always told when the GP has attended and when I enquire about assessments being carried out no one seems to respond, it's written in the book to be dealt with but I don't receive a response.

Both parents in the home until my mother died at Xmas. We have been very impressed with the overall care, food, staff, cleanliness and help with the residents.
The only problem has been clothing going astray despite labels, this aspect needs organising better.

Very very pleased with every bit of the care home. The staff - all of them are so friendly and caring thoughtful people. I would not go anywhere else. So pleased I picked Springfield.

Overall I am satisfied with this care home, however in my opinion residents could do with some form of stimulation, say by encouraging physical (gentle) activities such as passing of soft balls or sitting down exercises as they seem to be sitting about a lot, or, visited by any company that brings in
small animals or well behaved dogs to be petted by residents.

My aunt has been in Springfield almost 2 1/2 years. I live a long way away but every time I visit everything is excellent. I also have a regular visitor who visits almost every week and keeps me informed of the situation, who also agrees how nice it is for the residents and how considerate all the staff

We went to town and went for fish and chips and we had a good time with friends and staff. We had a good time and hope to do it again.

As a retired nurse and having seen poor examples of care to the elderly and vulnerable, I was very nervous about choosing a care home for my 99-year-old father. I was impressed from walking into Springfield - and being shown around by the manager. Liked - the welcome - the layout with many different
sitting areas - some with music/tv - some without. Excellent!
Bedroom/ensuite clean, tidy and a good size. Lovely furniture. Safety features.

My husband entered Springfield Care in September 2016. Since then, he has received excellent 24-hour care. He has vascular and Alzheimer's dementia hence he has no memory, does not know his family, but the staff from cleaners to manageress treat him with love and dignity and although he does not know
where he is, he always seems happy with all staff, is always clean and nicely presented and his meals are very good.

The quality of care is dependent upon many factors, but easily the most significant is the attitude of the staff. All the staff at the home are good, but some are excellent. They relate to residents as people/friends - not clients! It's fair to say that they care about their care!

My mother lived at Springfield Care home for 6 years, nearly 21 years ago. Since my mother passed away, I have continued to visit the care home and seen it change over the years. The home is homely, welcoming and has a family feel. The owner attended my mother's funeral and stated "Don't you ever forget
Springfield's doors are always open to you".
This is still true to the very day.
