Vicarage Court Care Home is a multi award winning nursing home, located in the scenic surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside, near Pontefract Racecourse. A qualified nursing team provide personalised care including for specialist conditions such as residential dementia, general nursing, elderly residential and young persons physical disability. They can cater for specialist care packages to suit complex resident needs.

Established for 30 years, it has new state of the art facilities with the team boasting many years of experience in management of long-term care needs. There are 10 lounges, a courtyard, balcony areas and two acres of gardens for residents to enjoy.

In 2021, HealthWatch awarded the home the "Putting People First" award. This was for the team's response to COVID crisis and not losing any residents to COVID. In 2020, they won at the British Care Awards. Previous to that they own "Employer of the Year" (2014) from Wakefield College.

Day care and respite care are available. A versatile range of bedrooms can suit individuals with differing needs, while there is a choice of comfortable living areas and a sun lounge. Large luxury apartments for couples or individual residents are available.

Everything in the home is done to a high standard and all the staff really look after you, nothing is too much trouble for them.
The food is really good and I would like to say thank you for making things so special over Christmas.
The activity coordinator is the life and soul of the party and always
makes you feel welcome.

My Mum who is now 97 years of age has been at Vicarage Court for four years. She is extremely well cared for, giving me and my husband real peace of mind. She had been in hospital before she was admitted to the Home and really not well. Now four years older she is absolutely fine which is testament
to her good care. The staff are genuinely caring and kind both to my Mum and to us as visitors. There are lots of activities and entertainment to keep Residents occupied.

The care home staff are always friendly and cheerful and my in-laws are well looked after. You have the confidence that their well-being is the home's prime concern and you are able to visit at any time. The owner is always on hand to discuss your relative's care and always has a positive attitude to
their lifestyle. It is reassuring to know your loved ones are in a caring environment.

My cousin was cared at Vicarage Court for the last 18 months. We have been very impressed the way she was looked after. The staff were meticulous in making sure all her needs were met.
The staff were always pleasant and helpful when we visited her. I am sure she could not have been in a better place
in the final months of her life.
