I am very pleased with the care and attention my mother has received. She seems to recognize the help and attention she receives and, to quote her own words, has said 'they are very nice'.
I also feel as a relative reassured that staff will keep me informed about her condition and progress.
Overall
I would certainly recommend The Manor House.

My mother who has dementia came to live here in October 2019, arriving straight from hospital in an agitated state and having lost substantial weight. We loved the home from the first visit, the staff were and are very friendly and knowledgable and Mum has settled in really well. For the first time
in over 12 months, she is settled and well cared for. Nothing is too much trouble and her health needs have been met. We haven't seen Mum since March due to the lockdown but know that the care and support continue as before and stay in regular contact.

Since my mother arrived at The Manor House nearly 2 years ago she has settled in very well and seems to have made lots of friends with the other residents and also with the team of carers. I feel its the personal touch that she gets from all the staff at The Manor House which makes it feel a very homely
place to be. Also, the daytime activities are varied each day so the days always seem different which is important to my mothers well being.

Mum was warmly welcomed into the home at the start of the CV19 crisis and, despite not being able to visit her, the staff always kept me informed on mums progress and nothing was too much trouble when I telephoned.

The manager and her team are caring, professional and have a good rapport with their residents which is so important. They have provided excellent communication during my father's residence, and his changing needs have been communicated to us clearly and managed promptly.
We have been so grateful
for this during the current pandemic when visiting him has been impossible, and knowing that effective safety procedures are in place is reassuring.

The manager and her team at the Manor House have looked after my Mum, an elderly lady with particularly complex and challenging needs, for approaching two years now. My brother and I have maintained regular contact with the team throughout this time and it is patently clear that they have managed to
sustain high standards of care despite the very challenging context in which they work. The manager seems to lead from the front, modelling professionalism, and setting the standards that the team go on to pursue. We are both very confident about the standard of service provided and wish to thank the team for their continued commitment to our Mum's wellbeing in the face of multiple challenges, not least the dreadful status afforded to care workers by the current crop of politicians. Care workers are amongst the best of us and deserve a status and appropriate recompense for their skill, dedication and the love and compassion they show to our family members. Thank you to the Manor House Team.

My mum became a resident at The Manor House in February 2020. Mum has quickly settled into the home thanks to the caring and professional service the team deliver to each of their residents. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and encouraged to participate in the activities which regularly take
place within the care setting. Myself and my family have always been welcomed and encouraged to visit. The team have continued to do an amazing job during the current pandemic situation and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for keeping the residents and their staff virus free.

My 94-year-old mother has now been resident at The Manor House for two years now, she (and I) am very happy with the care she receives, the staff are all so helpful and do everything they can to make it a 'home from home'.

My mum has been in The Manor House for over a year. She has settled there very well. The staff do a marvellous job and always keep me updated. They are always very cheerful and make visitors very welcome. Mum has her hair and feet done. The food is very good and variable, they do activities every day.
The gardens are beautiful for a walk around or sit out. Most of the time it is very clean but occasionally smells a little but that’s to be expected. But on the whole no complaints.

We are very happy with the care received at The Manor House and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Our relative settled very quickly. The staff have a lot of patience, the activities are well thought out and all residents are encouraged to participate. The staff clearly know the residents
very well. They are all treated very much as individuals. It's the best decision we made moving our relative to The Manor House. Thank you.

My mum has been a resident at Manor House for just over a year. She has suffered for many years with Alzheimer's and unfortunately, as the illness became worse we had to look at long-term care in a care home. As with each resident with this illness, it is a terrible and emotional journey for them and
their family.
With the help of the local authority care team, we eventually managed to place Mum in a home which is more suited to her needs.
The home is located in a pretty village it has large gardens with an outside area, the communal rooms have large windows which let in a lot of light and fresh air. The manager and staff are so very attentive to Mum and friendly and welcoming to us the family. We care so very happy with the care and respectful consideration which is always given to Mum.

Overall the care is very good. Staff are caring, considerate and treat my mother with dignity. Food is good and varied and enjoyed. Cleanliness is satisfactory overall but the home smells at times which is probably unavoidable, when some residents are incontinent. Management keep me informed if there
are any relevant developments. I have noted on occasion that my mother has worn clothing which is not hers and sometimes her clothing goes missing, even though I have chosen to do her washing myself.

My husband seems happy is clean and tidy most days. Sometimes there seems to be a staff shortage on the floor. Some staff appear to lack training and it is very noticeable when service staff are not on duty. Generally my husband is content and cared for. The home is clean and his room is always clean
and tidy. I am generally satisfied with his care.

Since mid July my mother (who has been a resident for over 4 years) has been very poorly. She has been in and out of hospital and is now bed bound. She needs turning every two hours, the home are coping well with this. They are always welcoming to me and always happy to discuss my mother's care.

Mum has been in Manor House since March 2014. I chose it because it felt so homely. She is happy and settled. The staff have succeeded in getting her to eat more which has been a problem in the past along with having a shower. This is no longer a problem and I am happy to recommend Manor House. She
has her hair done each week and a chiropodist when needed. There is also sometime for a little singing and even dancing to music supplied by the gentleman who visit with a guitar thanks tot he lovely lady who organises it.
