We have found The Olde Coach House to be well managed with a caring team. Staff are always aware of my father's needs and communicate well with us, particularly after a GP review. Staff are always available for visitors and are very attentive to residents. We are very confident that The Olde Coach House
meets his care needs. The environment is very homely and relaxed.

The care given to the residents is exemplary, all members of staff are kind and courteous. They ensure the residents maintain dignity at all times. The home is clean, warm and welcoming. The residents are well dressed and the food is varied and appetising.

The Old Coach House is extremely well maintained. There is rigorous infection control from the front door onward which is reassuring. The staff were a pleasure to meet. The attitude was positive, caring, kind and focused.

I am happy with everything that you do in the home and feel the people in there are well looked after and cared for. The only problem I was not too happy with was the tv in her room had a very bad signal and could not find more than one channel.

My mother is a resident and care user at The Old Coach House and is happy there. She says the carers are kind and hard-working and she appears to be happy at the home. Whenever I visit the carers and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. No areas of concern.

Mum moved into the Olde Coach House in January this year. We chose this care home on reports and recommendations from the local community we have never regretted our choice. The staff are friendly and positive they make great efforts to provide activities and mark special occasions, such as birthdays
and the Queen's Jubilee. The home is immaculately clean and Mum says the food is very good. We want to thank all the staff for the excellent job you do.

My husband has been a very happy resident since January 2022. He is so well looked after. I don't have to worry about him at all, which is a weight off my mind as I am unable to take care of him.
I have met the care team and they are so very kind and caring. When I asked my husband if he

his reply was 'Oh yes. It's magic.' I think that says it all. Thank you all for your wonderful
care. I know he is very fond of you all. We couldn't have found a better care home or carers if we had tried.

My father has been a Coach House resident for 6+ years. The home continues to provide very good quality care to my father, as it did to my mother who passed there in 2017. Staff are responsive, pleasant & helpful & treat my father as an individual, with his own needs. The management regularly upgrades
the building to higher standards. Residents requiring more intensive care have their own sitting/dining area. This means that residents with less intensive care needs, like my father, are looked after in a more relaxed & less stressful environment. Senior carers/care assistants/admin & kitchen staff are all helpful & approachable. There is inevitably some staff turnover but new & existing staff are well trained, staffing levels appear to be good and staff have a real interest in meeting residents' needs & requirements. Our family know my father is well cared for. We recommend the Coach House as a safe & caring care home, which also performed well during Covid.

The Coach House has become a new home for my mum, following a fall. She settled in very quickly and is full of praise for the staff who create a happy, friendly and safe environment. She has made friends with the staff and other residents. I, therefore, feel relaxed knowing that she is happy and well
looked after. She is always talking about the various activities that take place on a daily basis. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, I have been unable to have a walk around the Coach House but was sent lots of photographs by the Manager to give me an idea of what the Coach House is like inside and my mum's room in particular - which is excellent.

I have nothing but high praise for the care home, they are doing an excellent job, and the staff are so understanding and caring. Although my partner is in bed, he is constantly being monitored and cared for, and I am so grateful for it.

Relief that mum is content and socialised on the days she attends the centre. She says the food is lovely and can't believe how much she eats whilst there. The staff are caring, friendly and professional and take time to relate to mum, despite dementia. Always seem to have partaken in some activity.

As the care home Manager and Owner, Elaine Bismor is a very hand’s on Manager who believes that a Care home should always feel warm, inviting.
Elaine has worked in the care industry all her working life, and has been involved in the Old Coach House for over 30 years and now owns the home with her family. Her previous role was as a nurse at Hull Royal Infirmary.


In her job role Elaine has the overall responsibility for the smooth running of the home and to make sure the residents are receiving the best care possible at all times by being a proactive hands on manager. Elaine manages the staff team to a very high standard ensuring that home meets and exceeds the various demands of inspection and all regulations.


Elaine has a string qualifications including but not limited to:
Nursing degree
NVQ’s in health and social care level 4
City and Guilds Registered Manager Award Level 4
End of life Care Level 5
Safeguarding of adults
Various dementia awareness courses
