Windsor Court Care Home, located in an attractive residential area of Goole in Yorkshire, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential, nursing and dementia care.

The friendly and comfortable home offers a place for residents to relax, unwind and socialise with friends and family, the lovely en-suite bedrooms, hair salon, café, pub are all on hand for residents to enjoy and the wellbeing programme helps residents to maintain their hobbies, learn new hobbies and to have opportunities to engage with the local community.

The catering team at Windsor Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. The range of popular dining areas provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

The home is very nice. My room is nice with my own things in. The meals are very good, I like watching TV and talking to the ladies.

I spent a lot of time in my room but always have plenty of visitors from staff. I know all of what is happening at the home - the food is very nice, but I have a little appetite, I love living here.

I have been in the home over 3 years, it's been very good. My husband comes every day and takes me out. Food is all home cooked with lots of choices. My washing is done every day and taken back to my room. All the staff are friendly, it's a nice home. Thank you.

My mother feels very safe. She gets very good care the staff always try to give 100% towards all her needs.
They interact with her, always making sure that she is okay, making sure that her fluids are always taken when they wash her and they always take care when handling her. The staff are always
chatty and she never feels alone.

We have always found the staff/nurses/carers very approachable with a genuine interest in the well being of "mum". Nothing seems to be too much trouble at all. The whole atmosphere in the home is one of concern and respect and most of all friendliness and care.

Everything within this facility is very good. My mother has always just had plain food and although near the end, she did not like the food, but she had difficulty in eating, which would have exasperated the problems.
Since writing this my mother has passed away, the staff have been excellent throughout
my mothers stay and have been excellent and caring towards all their patients.

When my Mum went into Windsor Court I was quite upset as her wishes were always to stay in her own home. When this because impossible I very reluctantly conceded defeat. However a few months later things have slotted into place. My mum is happy very importantly. She comes home for a visit every other
week. I hope this continues, it helps the all important family link. Her carers are great. Nothing is too much trouble. She is fed like a queen, her room is very nice and comfortable with her own en-suite. All in all a difficult time but with help from the Manager now running smoothly. Highly recommended

Job Title: Care Home Manager

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?
“Treating someone with respect the way you would like to be treated.”


As a Heath Care Professional, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One since September 2021, Julie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Julie remarked:


“Seeing motivated staff and well cared for Residents.”


Julie believes her biggest achievement is living day to day as she believes she faces different challenges of life every day.


Outside of work, Julie enjoys going away on family breaks at the weekends to unwind.
