Windsor Court Care Home, located in an attractive residential area of Goole in Yorkshire, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential, nursing and dementia care.

The friendly and comfortable home offers a place for residents to relax, unwind and socialise with friends and family, the lovely en-suite bedrooms, hair salon, café, pub are all on hand for residents to enjoy and the wellbeing programme helps residents to maintain their hobbies, learn new hobbies and to have opportunities to engage with the local community.

The catering team at Windsor Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. The range of popular dining areas provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

The dedicated and professional care team at Windsor Court likes to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting those living in the home to enjoy the things they love most.

The staff are kind and helpful and very friendly. My mother is vegetarian so a bit more variation with her food (which I think is the only vegetarian one there) would sometimes encourage her to eat more. I think all care homes are horrendously expensive. I suppose this one is average for its area.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We really value the feedback provided by those who use our services. There is a vegetarian option on the menu daily which includes pasta dishes, vegetable bakes, jacket potatoes, omelettes and salads etc, however we have asked the staff to speak to your mum and asked how we can extend the menu to meet her choices. We have now added vegetable pies, veggie burgers, fingers, and sausages of her choice. Thanking you again for taking the time to provide really helpful feedback about the home.

My aunty arrived at Windsor Court in January 2015 into the nursing unit, as a cancer patient she was really ill, she couldn't take care of herself in any way, and was deteriorating rapidly. The first class care she received has been second to none. She has gained weight and flourished. She also has
a stoma and all the staff day and night help her with this. Her dignity has been restored. She likes staying in her room listening to the radio and doing crosswords although the staff encourage her to join in with all the activities on offer, but she prefers her own company. Also I would like to say the home is spotless.

Windsor Court is a very friendly approachable home on all fronts. My auntie has had a very difficult year but has thrived under the care of some very dedicated staff. She entered Windsor Court having had a terrible accident falling, she then lost her husband and then broke her hip. Windsor Court, particularly
the lady who is her section manager, have been exemplary. With encouragement she is now walking again and is very settled.

The home always has a warm and friendly feeling. It is clean, in fact very clean. The rooms are well furnished and cosy. Well kept gardens. I visit several residents at the home who were there when I visited my mum. My friend spends a lot of time in the lounge which has a bar installed in memory of
my mum. It would be nice to think the bar is in use several times a week so residents can enjoy a 'drink' and a chat. Staff are all levels and in all areas are very good.

My mother has been in Windsor Court for almost one year now, she has loved being there, from the start. I took her for a look around and she asked the manager if she could move in right away, she feels safe and secure there. She loves the company, she never gets lonely and the staff are lovely there.
If she has anything to say she says it, she lets them know if anything is wrong. The garden has been a blessing too. She is in her element.

My father suddenly needed respite. He is 92 and lived independently, very active with a loving family living in a scattered area. Windsor Court is so welcoming, caring and my father wished to stay there permanently as his ability to climb stairs. Cope with trips and daily chores was failing. He had
a broken arm after one fall. Great anxiety at night caused him to make this decision. Peace of mind all around. Facilities, care and food indeed all excellent.

Dad moved to Windsor Court about a month ago. His dementia is progressing and as a family we decided we needed him close by so we could visit him more often. The transfer was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. As a result he has settled quickly and appears happy in his new surroundings.
All members of staff are friendly and supportive which is very much appreciated during this difficult period of our lives. Thank you for your ongoing care and attention!

“Treating someone with respect the way you would like to be treated.”


As a Heath Care Professional, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One since September 2021, Julie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Julie remarked:


“Seeing motivated staff and well cared for Residents.”


Julie believes her biggest achievement is living day to day as she believes she faces different challenges of life every day.


Outside of work, Julie enjoys going away on family breaks at the weekends to unwind.
