Overall this care home is brilliant.
My father has been a resident for some years now and he has made it his home.
I feel very satisfied that he is well cared for whilst living there. It gives me peace of mind knowing he gets the care he needs. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The care home is run very well and this can only happen when management and all staff members work as a team to ensure all client's needs are met. I couldn't envisage my mum being cared for by any other care home.
I feel confident and content with the level of care my mum receives and the commitment
from management to keep standards high!

Very impressed overall with the facilities and staff at Hamshaw Court. My mum had to be moved from previous home in December 2023 and we were concerned that conditions/care etc would not be matching previous, but in fact they exceed expectations.

Our mum is completely settled here, her needs are discussed regularly. We feel she is in a safe environment, all staff are respectful of the residents. The home is lovely and clean as are the bedrooms, plenty of activities going on for the residents too. Food menu is on display and alternatives in case
it's not to everyone liking.

We can't thank the staff enough for the care they give our dad. From day one, we have felt happy leaving dad.
His health has improved and he is more able to get around now. He is a bit confused but knowing the staff are aware of his needs is peace of mind for us and we are only a phone call away. For
those who want to join in there is always something to do.

Fantastic place didn't think my dad would settle but they made everything so easy for him that he decided to stay permanently. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and listen to any concerns either of us have, and I know they have my dad's best interests at heart and if I can't be there I
know he is well cared for, if there's a problem no matter how small they will always ring and let me know, they always get everyone involved in activities and there's always a cup of tea available making it feel homely for everyone. I couldn't ask for a better place for my dad.
The only reason I gave 4 stars for value for money as a private payee it costs 200 more a week which seems a lot but that is definitely not the staff's fault.

My mum is a resident at Hamshaw Court. She is bed bound and at first we thought she was at the end of her life however the care that this home has given to me has been fantastic and she has become stronger giving us extra time to enjoy with her. All the staff are great, any concerns are always dealt
with however there are 2 female staff that go in and talk to my mum, they give her (and Winston mum's teddy), a drink and breakfast etc. I have to say that these two deserve massive praise for the way that they are! My mum can be quite unresponsive at times but when they walk in the room she seems to liven up, she laughs and smiles and it warms me! The way they interact with her is amazing. They take the time to talk to us also and genuinely come across as though they go that extra mile! I don't see too much more of the other staff as I can only travel to the area once a month but if these two are anything to go by then I'd definitely give this home and all their staff a 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10.

My first visit to my friend and introduction to this care home was excellent. The staff showed warmth and a caring attitude. The building was warm and comfortable. My friend spoke well of all aspects of his care.

All the staff at Hamshaw Court are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, they are always on hand when needed. Office staff could not be any more helpful. My lovely mam was in Hamshaw Court for about 6 months until she sadly passed away. The staff from the very first day cared and looked after her and always did their very best for her. The staff were so kind to my mam and to the family and kept us informed how our mam was doing.
We were so lucky to
find this special home and that our mam spent her final months in your care.

Staff are very useful and caring, can't do enough for my dad. Since my dad has come into the home, he has come on so much. The room he is staying in is clean and kept tidy at all times. The staff are doing a great job of looking after my dad.

My Dad was at Hamshaw Court for well over a year until he passed away at the end of 2022. Dad was always looked after with utmost care, dignity and respect whilst he was there. He was helped to be safe and feel calm and comfortable whilst going through his final year suffering from a complex dementia
which made him anything but. The communication from all staff to family and medical parties involved was excellent from care plans, day to day activities and changes, to end of life care.

Really lovely welcoming home. Staff are friendly and approachable. They treat the residents with care, respect and kindness. They are also very professional and take very good care of my very poorly mother-in-law.

The carers are calm and meet care needs to the full. Encourage walking and interaction but don't force the issue if not wanted to do so. They are always checking in to ensure everything is ok. Visiting is welcome at any time. Food is good and plenty of cups of tea etc. Cleanliness is very good/excellent.
