The experience we've had in the last twelve months of my mum being a resident in Hamshaw Court has been nothing but positive. It was so hard as a family to put Mum into a home but we knew she needed 24-hour care. All I can say is from management and carers to cleaners, laundry ladies, cooks and DIY
men, they are all so caring and very friendly. If we've had any concerns regarding Mum, the management and staff are always there to listen and deal with our concerns we have. Mum told the family it is the happiest she's been in the last twelve months.

My mum went into Hamshaw Court following a long spell in hospital. Initially, this was for respite care but unfortunately, she was re-admitted to the hospital before passing away.
We initially visited the home to take some of her personal possessions in before she arrived and was very welcomed by the
staff. The room was spacious with its own bathroom, clean and tidy. On each visit we made to see my mam, we noticed throughout the care home that it was exceptionally clean on every visit and the staff were amazing, informative, caring and compassionate making sure we were immediately called when they needed to ring an ambulance.
Due to my mum having both a fractured ankle and arm and a high risk of falling the staff put a floor pressure mat beside her bed to set off the alarm when she got out of bed, this certainly gave us some reassurance.
Due to my mum's health, they always went the extra mile with food to get her to eat and we couldn't have picked a better place for my mam's respite.

It's no wonder this home is under constant scrutiny from CQC. Total lack of communication from management even when mum was hurt and hospitalized twice. The home is in desperate need of some full-time staff and not filling the gaps with agency workers that struggle to communicate with the residents.
Medication
can take over a week to be started, care plans and residents' wishes are not listened to. Why? because the staff doesn't read the care plans! Mold on walls in the room, dirty bedding left on the bed, clothing just rammed into draws, rooms smelt and we found a dirty pad in the bottom of the wardrobe.
And when you dare to open your mouth your 78-year-old mum gets evicted with no notice.
Thank you management and senior.
Wouldn't recommend this home for a dog never mind a vulnerable person. Read the CQC reports people.

I was really impressed with the testing for Covid before we were allowed to visit. The staff were all very friendly and professional. My friend seemed to be happy and was obviously being looked after extremely well.

Hamshaw Court care home is a well-run home. The staff are friendly and very caring. On entering, you are provided with a Covid test and PPE. All very organised. Staff are on hand to provide you with any questions or worries. Residents are cared for in a loving environment and shown dignity at all times.

Overall Hamshaw Court is an excellent home. My only negative is that when ringing to talk to a particular person and being told they will get them to ring me back it takes a long time or not getting called back at all.

My father is presently a resident here and I must say the staff here are truly amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and the care and compassion they have for not only residents but also towards visiting relatives is second to none. I would definitely recommend Hamshaw Court to anyone safe in the knowledge
that loved ones are very well cared for.

I have visited my elderly friends at Halmshaw Court several times now and cannot praise the staff there highly enough. My friends celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this month and the party which the staff helped with was truly amazing. The food was fabulous and the care shown was truly wonderful
to see. We hear so much bad press in some homes but this one seems to be top of their game. Thank you so much for your special care.

All staff at Hamshaw Court went above and beyond to both my nanna and her full family during my nanna's illness and sad passing. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the care far exceeded that expected of a care home.

The care towards my Mam was very professional and caring. The staff were excellent with us as well as my Mam. When we were losing my mam, everyone was wonderful and caring towards us the family. Mam liked the carers, cleanliness and handyman. We could not have asked for anything better. I would recommend
