My mum has been a resident of Holly House for over two years. One of the major benefits of Holly House is that it is quite small and homely which enables the staff to get to know the residents and family very well. The staff are very friendly and approachable providing a high standard of care. Overall
the family feel mum is in a safe and protective environment.

Very clean home with regular, caring staff who go above and beyond. I am kept informed of any problems and actions taken regarding my mum's well-being. The low turnover of staff also helps greatly as Mum suffers from Dementia/Alzheimer's. All rooms are comfortable, warm and well-maintained.

As a family, we are very happy with the care that Mum receives. We looked at three other care homes and are happy that we made the right choice by choosing Holly House. Staff make time for us to discuss Mum's care and are all very approachable and happy to help. We feel that this is a safe environment
for Mum to be in and as she has severe dementia, this is very important to us.

My mum had a very difficult three years, chest infections, covid, pneumonia, repeat covid and chest infections. Holly House Care Home have cared for Mum in her darkest hour. If Mum hadn't received the care during that very difficult period, Mum would not be here today. The management, team leaders and
staff, need medals. The team leaders are excellent, not only for their care, but they go the extra mile in their observation to identify if something is wrong. Certainly saved Mum. The home is not clinical, it is a family-run home, which is far more important.

My Grandmother is a resident at Holly House Care Home and our experience of the care home has been great. My grandma is always happy, smiling and laughing. She definitely enjoys living at Holly House. The staff are also excellent and are very helpful and friendly.

My mum has been cared for by Holly House for almost 4 years. The staff are caring and respectful of Mum and strive to do their best for her. The food is good, it is kept clean (so is Mum) and there is an overall decoration going on at present. The corridor floors are wooden now instead of carpet. This
makes it easier for residents to move about.


The manager is good as she listens to any concerns we may have.

When Mum decided she wanted to be looked after in a care home, we took her to all care homes within a 15-mile radius of her home in Crowle.
Holly House was the one she chose - entirely on the basis of the welcome she received from the manager and staff.
Her judgement proved spot-on and her final years
spent at Holly House were happy, secure and very well cared for.
The staff are very much friends as well as carers for the residents and very much prepared to 'go the extra mile' to accommodate Mum's needs and wants.
The same can be said for the staff's relationship with the residents' friends and relations - we were always made most welcome.
We couldn't fault them in any way. Our thanks.

My mother was a resident at Holly House for over 6 years (2011-2017). She selected the home and the time to move in. It was a good choice. Mum suffered from dementia and Alzheimer's and gradually got worse over the years so eventually she didn't recognise anyone and didn't even know her own name.
During
all that time she was treated with the utmost respect and caring attitude by the manager and her dedicated team of carers. I was present at Holly House when she passed on and the support I received at that time was excellent, very professional and a great comfort to me at an obviously difficult time.
I will always be grateful for the care, support and friendship that the team provided to mum, I know that she appreciated it.
In times of emergency, the response of the team has been exemplary with the manager leading by example by attending A&E at all hours whilst I travelled to be with mum.
I will always be grateful for the care mum received from the most excellent of teams. Thank you.

Mum chose Holly House after visiting other homes, for the friendliness of all the staff and residents. She had two periods of respite there followed by 8 weeks which culminated in her death, in her own room, with family around her.


Mum was able to make her room feel like home, with pictures and

furniture, and she enjoyed the company of other residents, discussing newspaper articles and crosswords over lunch. All staff, including the manager, carers, cleaners, cooks and handyman were so friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. Mum once requested bacon and eggs, at 11 a.m. and got it.


The family look upon the period when she was receiving palliative care in the last two weeks of her life, as one of our most precious times with mum. We visited at all hours, were always made welcome and were cared for as well as Mum was. This home is neither posh nor institutionalised. When resident here you feel you are part of a large family where the staff, who are part of that family, happen to work.

My father-in-law has just spent a month convalescence/respite at Holly House Care Home. The rooms are bright and airy and staff treated him with respect using the appropriate humour to "jolly him along". The home is central to the local community and we will have no hesitation in using it again.

Mum arrived at Holly House from hospital. She had had a TIA and she didn't want to go to her own home. She has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimers. She was greeted by lovely staff and she loved her room.
She has fitted in very well, all the staff love her as she does them. The home's
manager is a lady and nothing is too much trouble.

The first words that come to mind about Holly House are care and attention, the latter being so important when by necessity rather than choice, you suddenly have to leave your home and spouse and go into a care home.
Genuine feelings are shown towards my mum and other residents. There has been support
given to me during a very difficult time and I have witnessed this care given to other families.
I have found that any issues are acted upon quickly and there is an open and approachable atmosphere. I appreciate the feedback, given daily as mum is unable to communicate easily. Care is person focused and flexible, accommodating the resident's wishes, whilst maintaining their health and care needs.
There is a quality at Holly House that I can only describe as genuine regard, that I feel comes from the complementary relationship between the manager, staff and carers and their human kindness.

Holly House in Burringham has provided an excellent service for my mother over the last ten years, treating her as they would their own relatives. As we travel to Australia to see our own family regularly we have always been confident that my mother has been in good hands and this makes it less stressful.
The fact that my mum has dementia the staff are still as inclusive as possible. We are always greeted with cheerfulness and interest in our other members of the family. The manager is also superb and very approachable, in all a good team.

I like to know that the staff, service users and their families are comfortable coming to me with any issues they have and have an open-door policy.
