  • Grimston Court very much welcomes socialisation for residents, especially visits and trips out with their friends and relatives to support their overall wellbeing. Therefore, the home operates on an open-door policy meaning visitors can come along to the home and are welcomed in at any time of the day. Ideally, visits should be pre-booked to allow the care team to inform the resident and prepare for their visit. There are no current limits to the number of guests who can come and visit a resident, however risk assessments are in place for safety and infection control measures, if the home overall exceeds a certain capacity of guests. Please note in the case of an emergency or if a resident declines a visit, the home may ask you to reschedule.

My aunt has been in Grimston Court for over six years. She has excellent care during this time and speaks very well of all the staff and appreciates their care. She is always clean and her room is kept clean and fresh. She is unable to join in with the activities now as she is bedridden but all the
staff are kind and patient with her and she tells me the food is very good.

It's always a pleasure to visit my grandma at Grimston Court. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the facilities are always clean and pleasant. The care and kindness that the staff show my grandma is always evident, and it is a big relief to know that she is safe and being well cared for.

Within the limitations of no access due to Covid, we have no significant complaints regarding Mum's care and treatment. Your staff are a credit to your organisation and are unfailingly cheerful and positive.

Mum entered the home on the first day of lockdown, so her possessions were left on the home doorstep. When I was able to go and peep through the window, I was delighted to see her photos on the wall and her ornaments displayed with the same care I would have done.

Couldn't be happier, staff are caring and compassionate at all times. Both parents have stayed a number of years over time. It is just Dad there now and the staff know his needs and moods and are good at keeping me and Mum in the loop. I wouldn't want Dad to be anywhere else. I can see that he is happy
and relaxed in their company which is a great relief to the family.

Always helpful and friendly.
Mum seems happy and well looked after.
Visiting pod sited too far away from the main building, which makes visiting difficult in cold/wet weather as Mum has to be taken outside.
All Mum's needs met.

The elderly lady for whom I am an attorney for, has lived at Grimston Court for over 6 years. She and the other residents have been kept safe over the most difficult 12 months for everyone concerned, much to the credit of the home’s staff and leadership from the Group’s Directors. Whilst visiting has
not been without its’ challenges, the recent relaxation gave me the opportunity to meet with her in the conservatory that was much better. She was well and in good spirits. I was encouraged to see many of the members of staff that I knew from pre-Covid days working well and enthusiastically as ever. I do think a settled team is a happy team that is beneficial for all stakeholders. Keep up the good work.

Both my parents have dementia and have been residents for 2 years at Grimston Court. All the carers are very friendly and hard-working. The home puts on lots of activities which they share updates and photos on their social media page which is nice for me and my family to see. There is a Pod available
which has made visiting possible through the difficult times this last year. Thank you all.

Firstly what a beautiful setting at Grimston Court, even though it is on the main road, the house is set back in tranquil gardens, and sometimes proud peacocks if you are lucky to see them. There is a large conservatory, a TV room, a dining room which is set out like a tea room and does not feel like
a nursing home at all, and of course the main room where there are seats for all and a piano. The rooms are well equipped for the need of my mother. All the staff are so welcoming and helpful, always keeping us updated on my mother, should the need arise. I now WhatsApp video which is easy and quick to book in by sending an email. All the staff work extremely hard and are so lovely, I am pleased we picked Grimston Court for my mother. The food looks and smells delicious and even menus on the tables... Well done to all. Thank you seems too humble for what you do...

Always a warm welcome from everyone at Grimston Court. There is a calm atmosphere as soon as you enter this magnificent building and the team are caring and attentive. Even though I'm over 100 miles away, I know that my Mum is content, happy and safe as, not only do I get regular updates, the team are
very proactive in keeping their Facebook page full of all the events, entertainment and activities they get up to with the residents. This is the right place for her and I know she is getting the care she needs.

Overall, the staff are caring and helpful with my friend's tarmac loss of appetite. Her dietary requirements are kindly adjusted and catered for. Beautiful and comfortable surroundings. I am very pleased with the medical and personal care given to my friend.

Our mother has been a resident for a number of years now and we have had no concerns regarding the care she receives at Grimston Court. It is certainly the right place for her, as she has always been content and spoke highly of those who care for her. Now with a number of health issues on top of advanced
dementia, she is getting the right level of care for her needs. Putting a family member into someone else's trust is never easy and is an emotional roller coaster. There is little doubt that Mum is getting the right care for her, and we are kept well informed about any changes in her condition.
Although we haven't eaten there, the food we have seen served for the residents looks nutritious and where appropriate clients are helped to eat. The staff we have met are all warm and friendly to us and there are regular visits to help stimulate the residents coupled with hands-on crafts and sensory experiences. A good 9 /10 from us.

My Mum was taken into A&E after weeks of not eating or drinking or taking medication. At 98 years of age, it was frightening. After one week at Grimston Court, she was eating, drinking and accepting all her medications. She is a different person now. The home was friendly, caring and I would highly
recommend them.

It is difficult enough when you finally reach the conclusion that you need to move your loved one into care, let alone find a quality home with service to match.
Grimston Court stands out. Not only does it look different, it has a nice feel to it when you walk in, not at all clinical. Everyone is welcoming,

My mother in law who suffers from dementia has been at Grimston Court for two years. She initially went there for respite care but settled in immediately and we realised it was the perfect place for her. The staff consider her as one of the family and we can't fault the support they have provided to
us all.

My brother has settled quite well considering his delirium, his concerns are his bedroom being on the third floor. He has lived in a bungalow for the past 38 years so he wanders into other peoples rooms to their annoyance. Ground floor bedroom requested. He is kept very clean, tidy and well fed, very
happy with the staff who respond to him with affection despite his antics. Unfortunately, he has offended some lady or ladies with his ways which becomes a problem at mealtimes knowing where to sit.

This home is excellent. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for my Father in Law. He is very very happy with his room and the standards of all the staff. He has been a resident since the beginning of the year and he has not complained to us about anything he seems really content. We visit at
least twice a week and at different times of the day. We always receive a very warm welcome from the staff. They always arrange for us to have tea with Dad in his room or in the gardens. We are even allowed to take our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with us which all the residents seem to like. Dad loves to see the dog. We cannot praise the manager and the staff enough they are fantastic with Dad and make him really comfortable. All the members of our family are extremely happy with this care home. We wish to thank everyone for all they do for Dad and us.
