Ivy Lodge “where you feel at home… not in a home”: This is a motto at the heart of the home’s philosophy. A caring team understand how worrying and stressful it can be to move into a new home but they work with residents and their families to help them settle in whilst at the same time encouraging them to lead an independent life around the dignified, compassionate and person centred care provided.

Ivy Lodge is a long established, family owned and run retirement home. Formerly an Edwardian farm house, the building has undergone extensive development and has been recently refurbished to provide light, spacious and comfortable accommodation of a very high standard.

A warm, dedicated and long serving team of carers are totally committed to the well-being of residents and actively encourage and help them to lead full and independent lives.

Carers ensure a full range of stimulating activities is provided from crafts classes and sing-alongs to theatre trips and excursions to local places of interest.

A dedicated GP from the local surgery conducts a regular surgery within the home and both Chiropodists and opticians visit regularly.

The kitchen provides delicious food with the emphasis on traditional cooking and home baking using the best seasonal produce available.

Ivy Lodge is an excellent residential home. It provides a safe and secure home for the elderly and the staff cannot be praised highly enough for their care, patience and empathy. The home is beautifully decorated and has an extremely high standard of cleanliness. There has been an increase in the
activities provided for the residents which gives them something to look forward to and keeps their minds active. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.
