My husband spent one week at Craghall so that I could recharge my batteries. The staff were caring and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. He was always neat and tidy and his clothes were changed every day. He always seemed contented whenever anyone visited. It has the feel of a country house
hotel rather than a care home.

My mum has been in Craghall for 4 months and I am delighted with the care she is receiving. The staff are superb - patient, kind and helpful. I have not seen a single moment of any lapse of professionalism or caring. The staff are consistently welcoming to visitors. The premises are clean and bright.
My mum reports that the food is very good!

My mother moved into sheltered accommodation at the age of 90, she spent 10 wonderful years there.
At the age of 100, she was unable to cope on her own. My husband and I had already decided two or three years ago that Craghall would be perfect for her needs.
It has exceeded our expectations. She settled
in well thanks to the caring staff and managers and the wonderful food. She is very sociable and loves all the activities and being with people all day, not feeling lonely now.
After 10 years of caring, I can live my life knowing my mother is in good hands.

My mother has been a resident at Craghall for six years. The care she has received has been excellent. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The home itself is spotlessly clean and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. Food is plentiful and always looks appetising. I am very grateful
to all the staff for the care my mother receives.

I have found this care home to be a top class facility during the last 7 years I have been visiting. My friend has been well looked after and her onset of dementia has been monitored and responded to in a sympathetic way. There has been several staff changes in my time visiting but I have always found
all staff to be supportive and pleasant. If I had to, I would choose this home for myself.

My partners mum had been here for a few years and suffered dementia which had gotten worse, more so in the past couple of years. Due to her illness my mother in law started showing signs of challenging behaviour which was becoming a regular occurrence. The staff were absolutlry brilliant in dealing
with this and all aspects of her care always very polite and patient with her even when she was lashing out at them. My partner would become very embarrassed and had trouble accepting her mothers illness but the staff used to put her at ease about this more than I ever could. Staff always offered us refreshments on every visit and nothing was ever too much trouble. If my partner wanted to query anything, the team leaders more so on night time (as that was mostly when we visited) would always make time to chat and discuss her mothers well being and answer any questions she had. Sadly my mother in law passed away and the support they gave to my partner as she was with her mum the night she died was undoubtedly first class and genuinely compassionate. My partner and myself could not thank the staff and management nowhere near enough for all their care help and support shown not only to my mother in law but also myself and partner.

Christine Barbrook

Job Title: Home Manager

Christine has worked in the care sector for almost 20 years, with 16 of them being at Wellburn Care as Manager at Craghall. Christine has her NVQ Level 4 and her registered manager's award. Christine enjoys the difference Wellburn make to both the residents and their families' lives- providing the care residents need and giving families peace of mind that their relative is safe.


Chelsea

Chelsea McBeth

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2015

Chelsea started her career with Wellburn Care Homes in August 2015, when she joined our Eighton Lodge care home as a Care Assistant. Chelsea then progressed to Team Leader, before being promoted to Deputy Manager in March 2018. Chelsea has gained vast knowledge in all aspects of person-centred care and caring for residents with dementia, and her aim is to make sure all of her residents are happy within their homes. In 2021, Chelsea’s continued dedication, hard work & vast knowledge saw her promoted to Home Manager of Eighton Lodge. At the beginning of 2022, Chelsea relocated to Craghall care home as a Deputy Manager, where she is now supporting her new team!
