Collingwood Court is a welcoming care home providing personalised residential and respite care for older people, including those who are living with dementia. The team works hard to ensure that Collingwood Court feels like a comfortable home-from-home where residents can relax and enjoy doing the things they love.

Residents’ bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with en-suite facilities and stylish furniture. Some of the rooms on the ground floor even open onto the lovely established gardens.

The Lifestyle team organises a wide range of activities, outings and entertainment, and your loved one is welcome to do light tasks around the home if it helps them to feel a sense of purpose and independence.

Since moving into Collingwood Court, mam has really thrived. She has physically improved and is so much more sociable. This is all because of the fantastic care, support and encouragement she gets. All the staff know their residents so well and there is a real family feel to the place. The facilities
are superb and the food excellent. I particularly love to see the wide variety of activities mam gets to do and am amazed at how much fun both residents and staff have. It is a pleasure to see her enjoying life and I can't thank the wonderful staff enough for such enthusiastic warm and very personal care.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’m an experienced Nurse and Home Manager and I’m passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for the people we care for. I believe that great care is about going beyond what is expected to make a difference in residents’ lives.


I also think it’s important to take a caring approach to colleagues, supporting them to do their best work and to fulfil their potential in the workplace. It’s our people who make all the difference and help us to deliver superb care, so if they’re happy, our residents are too.


I’m very proud of Collingwood Court’s strong links with the local community and I’m always keen to enhance these so that residents can continue to feel a part of local life and enjoy a lovely lifestyle. One of my favourite parts of the day is chatting with residents and listening to their life stories. There’s so much we can learn from the older generation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, particularly my grandchildren. I love to see live music, and I attend several concerts every year.
