Mam joined Cheviot Court in June and we've found management and carers very friendly and approachable. Mam's Alzheimer's means she can be confused and tearful at times, but we know all her needs are being met at Cheviot Court, including a range of social activities and excellent and varied food menu.

The home has a warm caring atmosphere. On arrival at the care home, staff are always pleasant and helpful. The staff caring for my mother are friendly and caring. They do an amazing job despite often being short staffed. Unfortunately my mother doesn't communicate much which sometimes results in her
being sat for long periods without a toilet break. However as soon as staff are aware of this, she is seen too.

The staff at Cheviot Court really do go above and beyond for their residents. My grandma recently celebrated her 100th birthday and this occasion was marking in so many fantastic ways by staff. As a family, we were blown away by the effort and ability to think outside the box when planning Grandma's
birthday celebrations. In particular, 2 carers, who listened to grandmas stories and used that information to make her day so much more personal. Cheviot Court is a fantastic care home and we couldn't wish for a better staff to be caring for our loved one.

The staff and management made the transition of my Father leaving his home (after recently losing my Mam) to the care home a much easier process. They are warm, friendly and welcoming. They see him as an individual as his needs can differ from other residents and are very aware of his needs. My Dad
said he feels safe and cared for. We could not ask for more.

I am very pleased and satisfied with my mother's overall care at Cheviot Court. The carers and management team are very helpful and pleasant. My mother is well looked after and catered for. Mam has been a resident at Cheviot Court for two years now. Her needs are always met, carers and staff are very caring and friendly towards Mam. Mam is included in the many activities the team put on. I have been visiting Mam regularly and am treated as part of the family - it's like home from home.
Staff and residents and visitors are all one big, happy family. I would recommend Cheviot Court to anyone who needs to go into a care home.

If you are looking for a care home, I sincerely recommend you visit Cheviot Court Care Home first and foremost. You will then discover what an excellent care home is and should actually be like. Very high standards are maintained in every single aspect, for example, food, facilities and cleanliness.
There are also loads of activities which the residents really enjoy. Cheviot Court is very well managed and all the family (i.e staff) are wonderful. Most importantly, Mam is extremely happy here (always smiling and laughing when we visit) and receives exemplary care and support. Any health concerns are dealt with appropriately and immediately. I am so grateful to all at Cheviot Court, Mam is in such a safe and loving environment.

My mother has been a resident at Cheviot Court Care Home for the past six months and in that time she has had excellent care. Her general health has improved. Her room is spacious, well-equipped and kept exceptionally clean and tidy. Food standards are high, plenty of it! Activities are varied and held
often and Mother enjoys taking part. The biggest recommendation I can give is for the excellent staff, each and everyone deserves a medal.

My aunt transferred to Cheviot Court Care Home following a stay in hospital (condition, delirium, Covid and flu). On entry, she was very weak, physically and confused. Throughout the respite period, all staff have worked tirelessly, overcoming many obstacles to restore her health, well-being and quality
of life. Her dignity and individuality are respected accordingly and she is responding well to care. She is allowed personal privacy whilst also being encouraged to socialise and take advantage of the activities on offer.

My mam has been a resident here now for over two years. All I can say is that her care here has been excellent. The staff are second to none and so caring, friendly and always happy to help. I’ve worked at Cheviot Court since 2004, and became the home’s manager in 2010. I started as a domestic and worked my way up.
I really like that we’re one big family in this home – residents and colleagues alike. We look out for each other, and support each other – just like families do.
I’m proud of the hardworking team here at Cheviot Court. We aim to achieve the highest standards in all areas of the home’s life. I believe in supporting my team to do their best work and fulfil their potential, because, when they’re happy, residents are happy.
Residents at Cheviot Court have choice and freedom. They decide how they live their life and what they do each day. We aim to make everything resident-led.
It’s an effective approach. When I see residents enjoying an activity, chatting together over lunch, or happy at the end of the day, I know we’ve got it right.
