My wife came to this home on 28/12/15. She has come on in leaps and bounds, all staff are excellent, home is very clean, staff are always there if you need them. Highly recommend to family and friends.

I have been living at Ashton Grange for a year after being so independent I found this difficult at first, but the staff have been fantastic. They gave me a sense of belonging and have been and still am extremely happy. I want for nothing they are just perfect. The food is good and I still enjoy days
out.

I visited my mums friend at Christmas the home was refreshing as I walked through the door, the staff are so friendly and pleasant. I was offered refreshments and staff were very helpful, a joy to visit my friend and also lovely to see her so happy.

I felt very comfortable with the care my mam received from everyone at Ashton Grange during her stay of 15 months until she sadly passed away in June 2015. It was immaculately clean and a happy place for her. Family were encouraged to visit and always made to feel welcome. The staff would go the extra
mile and make sure that they made time for the things they knew would make her happy. That makes a huge difference to how relatives feel when they leave their family in the care of someone else. There was always some activity going on and she was always laughing with the staff but on the days she felt down they would try to cheer her up. Even just having a chat when their time allowed was important. The actual home is really lovely and has a homely feel from the entrance onward. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashton Grange as a place of care and have done so on many occasions since my mam first went to live there.

Dad had a stroke over a year ago and the staff are fabulous with him. The food is great, lots of variety. There is entertainment not to mention the football morning on a Monday. The staff attend to dad's needs. They are patient and courteous with both dad and his family. I cannot thank them enough.

What does kindness mean to you?


“For me, kind care means ensuring that every resident is treated as an individual and striving to provide the best possible outcomes for an excellent quality of life.”


Lesley has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Ashton Grange for a number of years, Lesley closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby organisations and is always quick to welcome the local community to Ashton Grange.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lesley remarked: “I get a huge sense of satisfaction from giving residents the best quality of life possible and seeing them smile every day.”


Outside of work, Lesley enjoys travelling abroad, playing bingo and socialising with friends and family.
