We looked at the care home and thought the space in the place was lovely, lovely view of rooms, staff are very nice. If you need any advice they are there for you. They let us do the room up and let my mum come in while were were making her room to become her home, making it easy for the change from
her own home into a residential home.

I was worried about my mam going into respite but from the day she arrived at Archers Park she was greeted warmly and treated with kindness. During her stay there she bloomed - became happier and more alert and gained weight too. She was so well cared for and the staff and management could not have
been kinder or more welcoming and supportive.

Can't sing the praises of the staff at Archers Park too highly my mother has been in this care home over 2 years now and she has been looked after really well. Recently it was her 100th birthday and the staff made it really special for both her and all her family we all had an amazing day. A big thank
you to them all. We hope they know how much they are appreciated.

Since my brother-in-law came here, he has improved tremendously. His weight has gone from 7st plus to over 11st, he never faults the meals he gets.Office staff are very helpful and caring, staff are always happy/smiley and my brother-in-law loves them all.
Couldn't praise this care home enough.

Anyone who has to place an elderly relative in care knows the anxiety and guilt this decision brings. Mum (91) has been in Archers Park since December 2021. The home is clean, airy and pleasant. Activities are also on the agenda for the residents if they wish to participate. Mum's behaviour at times
can be very challenging, but the carers adore her, treat her with compassion and respect and have a bit of fun with her. I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough and would recommend this home to anyone.

I feel very strongly that I need to write this positive and heartfelt review of Archers Park Care Home which has been the home of my late father for the past 17 months. My Dad arrived at Archers Park and was immediately welcomed into the home by the amazing team of carers and management. The home itself
is bright, airy and feels incredibly warm and welcoming. His room was clean, freshly decorated, with new curtains and accessories appropriate for a male resident. Dad settled immediately and as a family, we left him in the knowledge that he was safe and most importantly cared for. My dad’s health deteriorated over his time at Archers Park but with the help of a brilliant GP service, a flow of trained professionals and the love of the carers he was happy. I cannot recommend and thank the home enough for the care my father received from Management, carers, the cooks, laundry staff and also the maintenance team who always went out of their way to say hello. Thank you

It is a great relief to the family and I that my wife is being cared for so well. We are able to visit her quite frequently and are always made welcome. My wife is always pleased to see us and is very complimentary about the staff. Communications with the home and staff are excellent.

Since my dad has come to Archers Park, the home manager is very approachable and helpful. The staff are very nice and do a great job supporting my father. Dad is always clean, shaved, and supported in a personal way during his personal care and when he has his meals. Very happy with the care and support

My mam first entered Archers Park for 2 weeks respite in Dec 2020 and is now a permanent resident here. She settled in very well, and the staff are so kind and helpful and very good at sending us photos and video footage of mam having fun times, playing games, doing activities and generally living a
good happy life. We could not be happier with the care she receives here. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.725)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.725) out of 10 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.925 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (87 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 93 Ratings = 4.925

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
