My father has been a resident at Archers Park Care Home for a number of years. I cannot commend the staff highly enough for their care and diligence in providing care in these difficult times. The staff keep me informed of any change in circumstance and I feel very comfortable with continuing the ongoing
care programme.

Since my mother has been placed in the nursing home, she was very upset at first but with the help and care and patience from all the staff in the home she seems much happier she is more talkative and she has had a good Xmas judging by all the photos and videos posted on the Archers Park website. I
would recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for a good home for their elderly relatives.

Archers Park is a lovely care home with staff who are very caring and compassionate. It is really reassuring during these Covid times to see pictures and videos of Mam enjoying herself dancing, singing and playing games. The staff bring Mam to the conservatory window so we can see her, which is lovely
and also reassuring seeing her look so well. A great big thank you to everyone at Archers Park, you are all doing an amazing job.

Dad was placed at Archers Park and the transition was really helped by the staff. Since Covid has restricted many things, especially visits, I have not been able to have as much contact as I would have liked as flying over is not on the agenda. The only option available to me to speak with dad has been
the very much appreciated efforts of staff using FaceTime and Facebook calls. These staff members are going above and beyond and I can’t tell you how much I value it. Without it, I wouldn’t have had any contact so it is amazing. Thank you.

So pleased my Mam is in Archers Park Care Home. I feel happy knowing she is getting the best care from all the dedicated staff and management at these difficult times. Love watching the pictures and videos they put on the website, the residents look like they are having so much fun, always something

My mother has been a resident since September 2019 and every member of staff I met while visiting has been very helpful and sorted out any questions I have asked. My mother can be quite challenging at times but the staff know how to approach her and manage to get her to do what is necessary eventually
with a smile on her face.

It's coming up a year that my Dad has lived at Archers Park and it has been a huge relief for myself and the rest of the family, knowing he is well cared for and safe.
The staff are lovely, there is such a lovely, warm, happy atmosphere when we go in to visit, but mainly Dad could not be happier as
he is no longer alone and feels safe. It was the hardest, but definitely the best decision we could have made.
Thanks to all the staff.

Archers Park is a welcoming safe environment. My mam has settled straight away and I think this is because of the staff and management who help everyone to feel at ease the moment you step through the door, a friendly warm atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble. It feels like "home from home."

Since my Mam went into Archers Park care home the staff and carers have been amazing with my Mam and us as a family. In my Mams room, it was all green which Mam doesn't like, I spoke to management and they are changing the colour of the chair from green to red, which is Mam's favourite colour. The staff
in Archers Park are very approachable with any concerns we have and they treat all their residents as if it was their own family members which, I think is amazing. If anyone was to approach me about Archers Park I would definitely say to them it's an amazing home.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.725)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.725) out of 10 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.925 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (87 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 93 Ratings = 4.925

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
