Our mother developed increasing confusion suddenly, and we noticed she was not taking her medication. I contacted "Primrose Care Home" and was delighted with the speedy response to go and view it that day. Even more impressed that Mam was able to stay. The staff could not have been better! A huge thank
you for taking care of her for a week, giving her medication and the care that she needed so much at that time. It enables Mam much-needed respite care, and happily, she is continuing to improve steadily in her own home with a decreasing amount of support.

The management and staff are approachable and friendly and not only care for residents but care and support the family as well. They work to ensure the residents have many activities to do and arrange lovely days out, the latest party with the toddler group young and old together was lovely to see.
The staff do a great job.

Most amazing staff and unbelievable care. I am so grateful for all of the care you gave my grandad and all of our family too (especially in his last week of life). I couldn't appreciate and recommend this care home enough to anyone looking to make this place a home for those special to them. It is not

We can't sing the praises of all the amazing staff here more highly! They have done an amazing job of caring for our mum. She joined them in January 2021 when Covid hit our family hard and mum needed full-time care. It was the best decision we ever made trusting them with mum's care. She settled in
straight away and loves it there. They do so much for all the residents from entertainment, trips out and lots of fun activities to keep everyone busy and happy. The staff have always been caring and so supportive of our mum and our family. Nothing is too much trouble. We love the fact that it isn't a big care home and it's very much a home from home for the residents.

This care home is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure all its residents have a smile on their faces at all times. They made my grandad's final week in the care home such a memorable week for myself and the family and we will forever be grateful for the girls in the care home and
they will always be a part of our family. There aren't enough worlds in the universe to describe how amazing the work in this care home is.

My mum suffered a devastating stroke in October 2019 and required full-time care. Primrose was recommended to us and after looking at other options we decided we would like mum to go to Primrose for the care she needed and we were fortunate they had a room to accommodate her when she left the hospital.
The care mum is given is second to none and before the pandemic, our family spent a lot of time there and were welcomed any time, day or night, it really is like an extended family. The residents are lucky enough to have a great panel of carers and additional staff such as the cooks and cleaners under the manager, who make sure they’re well catered for and stimulated on a daily basis with games, crafts, music and entertainment. They are all treated as if they were family which is one of the main reasons we chose Primrose, it’s like a home from home and I can’t recommend them highly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs first-class care for a loved one.

Our dad has only been in the home a short while but in that time we can't thank the manager and staff enough for the care and support that they have given my dad and us as his family. The staff are truly amazing, they post daily updates on Facebook of activities going on every day. I wouldn't want my
dad to be anywhere else as I know he is well looked after and he couldn't get this care anywhere else. A big thank you to Primrose.

Primrose Care Home Hetton is absolutely fabulous. They go above and so much well beyond their requirements. I have had relatives who have been in care homes who have been comfortable and looked after, and if that's what you need then go there. However, if you want somewhere where the carers really truly
care and organise daily things to keep the residents joyous and laugh, dance and sing then Primrose is for your relatives. When you think I would love there, book me in you know it is superb. Well done Primrose carers you really are fabulous and many thanks. In 2020 and early 2021 with the COVID pandemic, you have done tremendously.

The staff are absolutely amazing with the residents and we know he is safe and the care is of the highest standard, it has been very hard and emotional for the family recently having my father in law become a full-time resident but knowing that he is in the best hands and happy has made it easier. The
home pulls out all the stops for the residents having regular activities and entertainment and really are worth their weight in gold.

My gran lived at Primrose for approximately a year. My family have nothing but admiration for the staff there. She was treated with dignity and respect right up until the end of her life. The staff looked after her and the rest of my family despite horrific circumstances of Covid.

Primrose Care Hom has provided the best quality care for my 87 year old grandmother since the day she arrived in September 2019. The care staff and management always go above and beyond to meet her needs and provide entertainment throughout, arranging video calls to family members on a weekly basis
and updating us with any information as well as receiving photos of my grandma taking part in a range of activities. Throughout the pandemic and not being able to see her we got the advantage of being able to use the visitor's pod which is a bonus for us when missing our loved ones. I will never be able to repay the staff from cleaners, cooks, carers, management and everyone associated with Primrose care home for the superior care provided to my grandma. Their hard work and dedication to their jobs never go unnoticed. 100% amazing.

My Mam and Dad are now residents in Primrose, and why not! This place is amazing. The team are just perfect, each and every one of them. They are all very hard-working people. They go above and beyond to ensure clients are taken care of. My parents have really settled in, and me as a daughter, find
that a relief to know I don't have to worry about them. Mam loves the daily activities, it keeps her mind active. Dad, on the other hand, stays in the room with his paper and tv on (just like being at home), and that is what Primrose is 'home'.

For us, as a family, it was a anxious time having to hand over the care of our mam to the care home.
From the very first day, when I went into the home, I actually met about three or four people who I knew from school who already had a parent in the home. When I told them about what had happened to
Mam and explained how myself and our family were feeling, all of them assured me that their mam/dad (some of which have been in the home for years), were being well looked after and they were perfectly happy with the level of care that the home provided.
These comments certainly made it easier to relax and took away the anxiety of having Mam in the home.
In the time Mam has been in the home, we’ve experienced for ourselves the level of care provided by the team has been great, nothing is a bother and the “all one big family” culture makes for a lovely environment and the communal area is great. There’s always something going on which due to Mams blindness, is good stimulation for her.
