Queens Meadow is a beautiful purpose built care home boasting the ambiance of modern day style with old world charm and sophistication.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and the team pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact the home throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - Carers want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Staff get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home. Carers get to know their families too and like to understand the dynamics within the family setting and how best they can support these as they build a relationship of trust. My mother initially was only going in the home for a couple of weeks respite. However, after the 24hr care she received, she realised it was the best place for her to spend the rest of her days. She loves the staff, their friendliness and professionalism are a constant credit to themselves and the home
management. Nothing seems to be a problem for them, whatever you ask them to do is usually done in a matter of minutes, if not immediately. Whilst her meals are not up to restaurant standard, they are of a decent enough quality. Her room itself is rather dowdy and small but adequate overall. The staff are very discreet when it comes to my mother's personal cleanliness and dressing.

My dad has had the most amazing care at Queens Meadow and the staff could not have done anymore for my dad and his dignity and making the family so at ease and welcome. I thank you for the compassion and care you have given us.

Mam and Dad both reside in this care home at present. It's a caring home with fab staff but I do think more staff should be employed to help residents that need help at lunchtime/help with residents that have a physio plan and need daily exercise due to falls etc!
Mam needs help at lunchtime at times
as she gets tired and stops feeding herself due to her arthritis and 'AF' and her meal gets cold with it taking her so long.

My uncle was taken for temporary respite and the staff couldn't have done more to make my uncle more comfortable and welcoming they are so friendly and helpful.
My uncle was treated with kind care and respect and every time we visited staff couldn't do anymore to help.

The care my father received in Queens Meadow was excellent. They could not have done more to make him welcome and a part of the family. All the staff were friendly and attentive and took as much time as needed to sit, listen and talk to my father as well as other residents. We were kept informed about
his well being and they organised his medication efficiently. As a family, we would like to thank them very much for looking after my father.

I come regularly on a Saturday to see my dad, I always bring my elderly mother with me. The staff are always helpful and polite. They always make sure dad is clean and dressed, they offer mum a cup of tea to make her feel welcome.
I feel very relaxed knowing my dad is in such a great place.

I have found the staff are very pleasant and approachable. The home is always clean and tidy. My mother's room is always clean and tidy. There is good security when entering and leaving the home. There is plenty of car parking bays available. The outside space and gardens are well maintained.

My dad has been a resident of the above home for 11 years. He is very very happy there he loves all the staff and they him. I can honestly say all the staff are like good friends, always have time to talk and nothing is too much trouble. If anyone asks about Queens Meadow for a relative, I cannot praise
them enough. I know that I can rest easy knowing my dad is in their care. A last, note he loves the food he often says I am spoilt. Thank you all X

Myself and my wife visit my father at Queens Meadow and find the staff very friendly and very caring towards my father and the other patients at the home; there seems to be a friendly atmosphere about the whole place.
We both feel that the team at Queens Meadow really are a credit to their profession

The home is overall brilliant in my opinion. The staff are great with my nana. The staff are very loving and make my nana feel very much at home. The staff are always very happy, talkative and very kind. All staff including cleaners and kitchen staff etc are very welcoming at all time. The home is always

Staff very welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. The advice in response to questions is always informative and freely given. Care for our elderly relative has been sensitive and dignified. He seems to have settled in well after six weeks. We feel reassured that he is now being cared for in a safe
environment with people around him, instead of living alone in his home.

I find the home very good. The staff are brilliant with my mam. She is well cared for and very much loved by all the staff in the home. They cater very well for my mam due to her struggling to swallow and eat, they blend all the food. Nice friendly welcoming staff at all times. All very happy and kind.

Most concern are about mam's mobility and sitting piston. Feel the OT and physio has not attended her very well. The staff at the home seem to do as much as they can.

My 94 year old mother moved into Queen's Meadow Care Home in January 2016. All the staff are friendly, pleasant and helpful. Whenever we visit there is always a good atmosphere and we are made to feel very welcome. Any minor problems raised we dealt with quickly and efficiently. I cannot comment on
the food and drink but my mother says the food is good. She looks well and had out weight on. We recently celebrated her 95th birthday at the home, all the family were made very welcome and provided a delicious tea. My mother is being well cared for.

My father still remains quite independent, and stubborn at times. He will not mix with other residents. On Thursday 10/12/15 I visited dad, no bed sheet, or duvet on bed.

it is always a pleasure to come as my grandma always gets treated lovely. The staff always do their best and push themselves to the limit to help my grandma here. The staff are lovely and treat you lovely. I would recommend this place to others as it is a lovely place to be.

As a Health Care Professional, Rachael has many years of experience in providing care and support for older people, helping to enrich their lives in the process. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Rachael uses her experience to motivate the team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Rachael said, “The Residents, the people. Hearing laughter in the home and supporting Residents to fulfil their hopes and dreams. Everything is possible with the right love and support behind you.”
