Westview Lodge Care Home in Hartlepool is just a short walk from the beautiful seafront, offering residential, respite, palliative, dementia residential and intermediate care.

The dedicated and friendly team treats each resident as an individual and aim to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The home's chef and catering team create both nutritious and tasty meals for residents to enjoy, prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to create a homely feel and soak up the sun in the lovely garden on a beautiful day.

The home has a strong connection with the local community and the varied activities programme has something for everyone - lots of socialising or quiet time if preferred, and pursuing hobbies and interests are encouraged.

The home has a separate transitional/rehabilitation unit to support residents with recovery and skills development for a 6 week period. This unit has physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy health input and the aim is for the residents to return home if appropriate.

My friend is very well looked after; the staff here recognise my friend's needs and meet them fully. I am satisfied that medical care is good and records are up to date. I have been present at all her annual reviews. The local council are also pleased with all aspects of the care plan.
Westview Lodge
can be counted upon to contact me immediately on such occasions when hospitalisation due to falls etc. occur and are aware that I have been delegated the power of finance and health attorney.
We have formed a close relationship over the five plus years that my friend has resided here, and look forward to the next five at this world class care establishment.

My mother has been a resident for approximately 4 years here and we have been very happy with the conditions and care.


Any problems are quickly resolved. As this is a relatively small care home, this ideally suited my mother's needs.

I call to see my mother about 4 times a week and have found the care standard to be 'acceptable' to 'good'. A little more attention could be applied to details like location of false teeth and hearing aids as Mam has a tendency to misplace them - both teeth and hearing aids have had to be replaced whilst
she has been here.


Also my sister takes my mam's washing home to do, due to items of clothing going missing.

Both my father and mother have been residents and I am satisfied with the care and support they received. The staff are first class, as nothing is ever too much trouble.
