My mum moved to Castle Dene in July 2018 as she had not settled well at another local residential care home. She settled at Castle Dene instantly, which as a family we found extremely reassuring.

As well as the more 'standard' stuff - good safety, robust care plans, home cooked food, well-trained

staff etc, the team have really got to know Mum. There are many examples of this but here's a recent one: the staff know that Mum likes to wear costume jewellery, with her particular favourite being a 3 stringed pearl necklace. After this got broken recently I began looking for a replacement. In the meantime, a member of the team had taken the necklace home and re-strung the pearls as they knew they were important to her. So thoughtful.

We are so impressed with the management and staff's dedication and attention to detail. Castle Dene has a real 'homely' feel and all of the staff (carers, cooks, laundry assistants) are totally committed to the care and dignity of the residents.

My mum stayed at Castle Dene Nov 16-June 18 when she sadly passed away. She was well looked after by caring staff and had good food. Laundry and cleaning staff are lovely and mum also had a close bond to a lovely senior carer.
