Brownlee Court Care Home in Middlesbrough is a privately owned, purpose-built, 116-bed care home specialising in Dementia, End of Life, Nursing and General Residency. Also providing respite care for families and loved ones to help them take a break from their care roles. All the rooms are furnished, or you can bring your own furniture with you if prefer. All rooms offer en-suite facilities.

Brownlee promotes individual care in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere, encouraging independence through choice and dignity throughout care given.

Helen Nutton is the Registered Care Home Manager with a strong team of experienced and trained staff to ensure all residents' individual care needs are catered for with dignity and passion making the care home feel like one big family and most importantly for residents, a home from home. Brownlee has a strong reputation for providing good quality of care to its residents.

Here at the home they offer car parking, wi-fi and the home is pet friendly as they have a residential pet dog called Gracie. They offer a wide range of other services, hairdressing, chiropody and a full activity programme rotating weekly over a 4-week basis.

Our mam has been a resident for about the last six months, she found it upsetting and hard to settle, but the last few months she’s doing great, the regular messages, updates and pics have put us all at ease. She looks great and seems loads happier, all of you should give yourself a pat on the back,

My father-in-law moved to Brownlee about 2 months ago due to his dementia and delirium diagnosis.
The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond. Even though we can't visit at the moment we get regular photo updates and can see he is settled in enjoying lots of activities and even having a dance.
The home asked us to drop off his cd player and opera music as felt it would help him. They sent a video to us of him enjoying relaxing too his favourite music and it was heartwarming in these difficult times.
Fantastic team and we can relax knowing my father-in-law is in good hands thanks to everyone.

My mum has only been at Brownlee Court for a short while, she found the initial settling in very difficult but the staff have been nothing but amazing. They are more than happy to take phone calls to give updates on Mum's progress. Not being able to visit due to COVID, it is lovely to see daily updates
via Facebook and the activities that are planned are amazing. My mum always looks happy and entertained, this is due to the effort put in by all staff. I knew Mum's transition into a care home was going to be difficult but Brownlee Court have made this a much less stressful experience and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

My pops is a resident and I can honestly say that since his dementia picked up pace I have never seen him happier. The care he receives on the unit is extraordinary. He has so many activities to keep him occupied, the staff are completely engaging with him and seeing his little smiley face on the Facebook
page makes my day. It's been so hard since March with the restrictions, and not being able to visit, but I have complete comfort knowing he is well cared for and he has a family in your setting when we can't be there for him. Thank you for all your hard work and for your big hearts. I honestly feel this type of work is a vocation and not a job and I am incredibly impressed with every single staff member. Lots of love in these difficult times.

After the initial hardships of Mother entering the care home, where she was really difficult to handle, the home have done exceptionally well in caring for Mother and now she looks really happy and settled.

I feel my nana is not just well looked after, but genuinely cared for by the staff which puts my Mam, Aunty and all the family at such ease, especially after originally finding it very difficult to place nana into a home.
I’ve got to commend the whole team on the care for residents especially during
COVID 19, the events have been fabulous to see and Facebook posts were an absolute godsend and emotional to see the residents having a wonderful time. My nana has ridden the COVID storm and is still going strong thanks to the care of Brownlee staff. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Brownlee Court Care Home, my father was placed there on a temporary basis after leaving hospital. We had no time to make any decisions on where he was placed, we were unable to visit during this time due to Coronavirus but staff made arrangements for FaceTime calls to be made
which was great as we could see and speak to him and ask how he was. The 24-hour care that has been provided has been great, giving us peace of mind all is well. Every day there is entertainment arranged with all staff getting involved and all needs of the residents are met to a high standard, making their stay enjoyable. Whilst he has been there he celebrated his 80th birthday for which they decorated his room and provided food and drink to celebrate with him, we as a family very much appreciated what they did to make his day special. We feel that all staff will go the extra mile to make the residents and families welcome at Brownlee Court Care Home.

My dad was in this home with Alzheimer's dementia after things were getting difficult for mam. I went in 2 times a week, especially during this difficult time. All gowned/gloved/masked. The staff are all amazing. They are truly angels. They kept us updated with dad. Not enough staff at the home, all
staff worn out and trying to cope with all their roles. Every day is different for them all, sometimes they do have a little respite but not often. More and more pressure for them. Having worked as a carer and in a hospital, know that all staff are caring and give their all. Immense praise to them all.

My dad has been at the home for the past three years. I have been at ease from day one. The staff are so warm and welcoming to my dad, myself and my family, the home is very clean and the meals very nice and as for the manager, she's a professional in her work. The care staff are second to none with

When going to the nursing home to visit my father-in-law I always find the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the level of care my father-in-law receives is second to none. I can't thank the staff enough for all the hard work they do. My father-in-law is very settled here, he gets along with the
staff, so we know he is in safe hands which makes us feel that we don't have to worry about him. If any problems appear, ie. if Dads not well or anything, they always get in touch and let us know straight away. Thanks to everyone at Brownlee Court.

The staff in the care home have been fantastic looking after my father-in-law. They made his 80th birthday special for him. Now as he is really not well they are going above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible and make us welcome when we can see him and keep us up to date with any changes
in his health.

My dad was a resident within this care home from July 2019 until April 2020 when he sadly passed away. During this time all members of staff provided excellent care and support not only for my dad but for us as a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I really cannot ever thank them enough for
helping us through a very difficult time and setting my mind at rest that my dad was getting the care that he required.

An amazing home, extremely friendly staff and all the residents are very well looked after. They have the best facilities in any care home I have helped out in and go the extra mile to ensure the residents are totally satisfied and happy. They have lots of activities for them and will always do everything
they can to make sure they are happy, irrelevant of cost. Management are very much hands-on and play a full part in making sure the resident's requirements are fully met and their door is always open for any chat regarding absolutely anything. It is a joy to go in. More homes should be like this.

The care this home provides is brilliant! My mum has vascular dementia and she's always smiling and joking with staff. Pictures they post of the activities during restrictions have been fabulous.
My dad was there up until his passing last September and the compassion they showed him was lovely. They
have pulled out all the stops to entertain and care for the troops over this very difficult time!

It is a year now since my dad moved to Brownlee Court and all our family are delighted with the standard of care and support he receives. The staff are excellent, encouraging and respectful. Dad gets great meals and good personal care. The service is very well run and being able to access the Facebook
page means we can see the sort of activities that Dad is taking part in and even see him enjoying them.

All the carers are wonderful. The Facebook page is fantastic, showing the events of the day, whether or not your relative is partaking, it shows daily activities. The carers are very accomodating with Facetime and messenger. This is one hundred percent better than making a phone call. Well done Brownlee
