Parkville Care Centre is a ninety-four bedroom care centre located in Middlesborough, that combines a comfortable and charming setting with the skills of professional and dedicated nurses and carers.

The centre now boasts the prestige groups 1st Auguste community. A 37-bed specialist nursing community for people living with dementia or related illness requiring nursing type care and treatment in a purpose-built setting.

The centre also offers both residential and residential dementia caring across two separate floors in the larger main building

The whole centre has benefited from a substantial £75k input of finances specifically designed to lift the entire Parkville environment and which has also been used to completely redesign, to specific evidence-based criteria, the modern, safe and inclusive nursing centre

The nursing unit has RGN and RMN clinical leads both day and nights.

The Care Centre is further benefiting from a partnership with 'Oomph', the activities and occupations charity and the community and the residential setting now have a Tovertafel magic table, a mobile snoezelen centre and the latest Sentes bathing experience.

With full wi-fi availability and FUSION care plan systems this is the care centre for all needs

The new wellbeing - coordinators are now in place and a menu using the Caroline Walker Trust guidelines, the centre is benefiting from a new direction under the expert leadership of the new CQC registered manager.

The staff are professional, friendly and attentive to nanna, the living environment is clean enough and it feels safe. The food quality is lacking and the portions are small though.

My mum has now been in this care home for 7 months and I am so happy she has settled in really well now. The care she is receiving is really good, and all the carers and nursing staff are so good with her. If we have any problems the management are always there to help. The only concern is maybe the
food choice menu which could be improved.

Both of my grandmothers have lived here at Parkville, one who unfortunately passed away here in 2008. I am very happy with the care my grandma is receiving, she has settled in really well and the care team and management are always there and happy to help.

My mother-in-law has been here for 7 months and I am very pleased with the way she has been looked after. The care is good, the place is clean and the staff and management are very friendly. The only thing that could be better is the food that is provided.

My mum has recently moved to Parkville. After losing a lot of faith in care settings due to a previous very bad experience I'm blown away. After just a short time already Parkville has given me my mum back. Parkville has ticked every box, the staff are incredibly attentive and treat my mum with the
utmost respect and care, going above and beyond to ensure her comfort and happiness, there is a whole home approach from all levels of staff. Person centred care is practiced which is making every day feel meaningful. The home itself is very clean and gives me a very welcoming, supporting family environment. The choice of meals is fantastic. I feel completely at ease knowing my mum is in a safe, supporting environment. The management team are always approachable and open to feedback. The staff are very friendly and helpful every time I come. Residents are well looked after and you can see they are all cared for well. Carers have a good relationship with residents so you know your friends and family are well looked after.

Lovely care home with really friendly, caring staff who go the extra mile with care and compassion. My mum was happy and settled - they even managed to get her to sleep in her bed after she had spent 3 years sleeping in her chair at her previous care home.

Came to visit my sister and it is quite easy to take her to the garden in a wheelchair and the lift is good to use. The staff are friendly and helpful and polite.

I am pleased that my partner has settled in her new home and seems happy. She gets on well with the staff and I find everyone pleasant and amenable.
Her appetite seems better and she enjoys her food which is very good.

Generally good care. Dad entered Parkville in January 2023 and over the first few months some settling in was needed. The garden in the Sapphire unit needs tlc with fag butt clean up etc. but is improving. More staff in the Sapphire unit will help the lovely staff cope better. Laundry should be a bit
better and things go missing regularly. However, feel secure that Dad is looked after and has dignity in his care now.

It was my mother who stayed.
Place very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for the residents. Always had a smile on their faces. Plenty of entertainment to keep the residents occupied. Only downside the food is not great, but still tried to please you with another choice.

It was my mother who stayed in the home. Staff were lovely, very helpful. The home was very clean and tidy. The staff always had a smile on their faces. The entertainment kept the residents occupied and happy. Only problem: the food was monotonous, not much variation, but they still went out of the
way to accommodate you if you wanted something else.

My husband spent the last four weeks of his life in Parkville Care Centre. The management and staff are incredible. They cared for him, and indeed for the whole family.
His hygiene and personal care were excellent, as was the home. This home has a very high standard and I would recommend it to anyone.

Parkville Care Centre has a new manager in place and in a short time she has demonstrated good positive leadership skills, leading her team in an effective direction. Parkville has a good person-centred approach and is a safe caring environment which addresses all care needs. It clearly has an open-door
policy and I feel I can question and review any aspects of my loved ones' quality of care or care plan at any time. The day-to-day care which I witness and watched is of a high standard and I feel confident and supportive of Parkville Care Centre Team.

I cannot commend the home enough from the very first day my Mam arrived to the last day. The care given has been excellent towards Mam's requirements and also towards the family. There was never ever anytime the care was never there, from minor issues to palliative care. I cannot commend the carers
enough.

Our Mam was only in the care home for 6 months but while she was there she was happy and enjoyed the company of the other residents and was encouraged to join in with the entertainment. The care from all the staff was very good and nothing was too much trouble for them.

An elderly friend was in this care home, and I can't praise it enough. Throughout my 20+ years, I have worked in different areas, each with unique challenges and opportunities. My leadership style is rooted in empathy, transparency, and a hands-on approach, ensuring that every resident receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs. I believe in creating a home-like atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and part of a community and this leadership style coupled with the values of prestige care can only be an asset.


I have a proven track record of maintaining and exceeding regulatory standards, achieving excellent ratings from regulatory bodies. My attention to detail and commitment to best practices have ensured that the homes under my management are recognized for their quality care and compliance.
