The team at Hadrian Park has extensive dementia training allowing them to provide he best possible care to residents living with the condition. The home also has dementia-friendly spaces, including a Namaste care room, vintage-style tea room and interactive space in the courtyard gardens.

The majority of ground floor bedrooms also benefit from direct access to the gardens, where there are seating areas and flower beds for residents to enjoy with year-round interest.

Mam has been a resident for two years. The staff have always been very supportive of Mam and family members. They understand Mam's moods and how to help her through them. Offering her calming and reassuring words. All staff and management are approachable and available at all times.

My overall view is that the staff are very friendly, dedicated and committed to providing a happy and safe environment for the residents. I visit the home most days and I get the same warm welcome each time. I get offered a coffee when the trolley passes too.

Very well equipped, very clean.
Staff are brilliant and kept up to date on very friendly and polite./

My nana moved to this home from another care home after she had suffered neglect in her previous placement. If it was not for us choosing this home and the care they provide, we would have been planning my nana's funeral. The care staff are amazing at what they do, always go above and beyond!

As a family we had hoped never to have to move our loved one to a care home but eventually we could no longer cope with them at home. Hadrian Park were so supportive initially and that support has continued since the move was made. The staff are friendly and take time to get to know the residents and
the best way to meet their needs and keep them happy. Our loved one is very settled, well cared for and is happy which is what we hoped for.

I have always found all the staff at Hadrian Park without exception to be approachable and friendly. Whenever I have made an enquiry or sought any kind of clarification they have been most helpful. My dad is very awkward but he is always greeted by the staff with a smile and a jolly comment.
The care home itself is always clean and tidy. He is well fed and looked after. There are always activities going on
I spend a lot of my free time there with Dad and some of the other residents and am
always made to feel welcome.
If I have had any problems they are listened to and quickly and efficiently resolved.
I could not have found a better place to home my dad.

Hadrian Park care home are very friendly and caring for their clients and their visitors. During the pandemic/lock downs most of the time we could see and talk to our family through the window until the bubble was in use.
I have always found all staff to be helpful when arranging a visit or to clients
during lockdown when getting shopping and generally keeping everyone up to date.

Hadrian Park is hopefully coming to the end of another Lockdown due to Covid-19. As an essential caregiver, I have experienced first-hand how hard the carers worked during a particularly bad time of Covid-19. With as many residents confined to their rooms as possible, the carers carried out all duties
efficiently, remaining calm and cheerful. They were non stop! An absolute asset to Hadrian Park and Care UK. I was also very impressed that Care UK sent regular letters to keep us updated on the rules and regulations from the Government as well as regular updates from the manager of the home.

I feel my mother is well cared for, however, services seem to take too long. Staff are very helpful though they often appear overly busy...staff shortages? The food budget needs improving as it doesn't appear to be very appetising!

Our number one priority is to meet every need of the residents who live here, some of which have high dependency needs. This means there will be times that staff seem busy. However, to reassure you, our staff to resident ratio is higher than is recommended. Our chef encourages residents to get involved in developing the menus and to give their feedback on new dishes. We have never had any complaints from your mother but we will remind her that we are always more than happy to provide an alternative dish.

Never seems to be enough staff on at any one shift. People are always leaving, high turnover of staff.

Thank you for taking the time to review Hadrian Park. We are a busy home and there will be times that our team will seem busy. Many residents have high dependency needs which can require up to four staff to support them. However, to reassure you, we use a very efficient staff planning tool and our staff to resident ratio is higher than is recommended. And we are pleased to say that Hadrian Park has a lower than average staff turnover. We appreciate it can seem that staff are leaving, but we rotate staff across the suites to assist with their career development. Please don’t hesitate to contact the home manager, if you have any other concerns.

Came in from hospital I was very anxious but need not of worried they made me feel at home and the six weeks passed very quickly. The disadvantage was that visitors had to wait half an hour to get in but appreciate the current climate.

My mam has been in Hadrian Park for six years now. She is happy there and didn't take too long for her to settle. I am happy with the care she receives but I do have to say that in the six years it hasn't always been plain sailing. The manager is very approachable and through this tough year has done
his best to keep the communication going.

I have found all the staff to be very friendly and approachable. I was worried about Mam going into a care home, but I didn't need to. Mam has settled in well, apart from not joining in with the activities, the staff do go round the home trying to involve all the residents but Mam isn't interested.
The home always seems to be clean and tidy and Covid rules are followed.

Hadrian Park is a lovely, friendly place for my mum to stay. We recognise that there are times when challenges need to be met and Hadrian Park reaches up to those challenges and manages them so very well. Hadrian Park provides a variety of activities to keep the residents active and happy and we as
a family appreciate the updates via social media. There is nothing I like more than seeing my mum enjoying a good old sing-song.

My mam is a resident in Hadrian Park as she has dementia. She was really unsettled when she first arrived but the lovely staff did everything they could to make her feel welcome, safe and cared for. For the first few weeks of her stay, I was unable to visit my mam inside but once I was allowed inside
all the staff I encountered were all extremely helpful and pleasant. All the carers involved in my mam's care are always aware of her day to day mood and general well-being and are always happy to attend to anything Mam needs whilst I’ve ever been there even if it’s just been reassuring my mum.

Mam needed an urgent place of care and Hadrian Park had a room available.
This was all very new to us, Mam has dementia and she needed more care than we were able to give her, this was a very difficult decision we had to make and very emotional. From manager to senior staff, to cleaning staff, everyone
has gone above and beyond to make this decision as painless as possible for us and have been so kind and caring to both us as a family and Mam.
It is early days and the disease in its nature means every visit is like walking into the unknown, but the fantastic staff are there to help in any way they can. We know mam is safe and being cared for properly.
Nothing can ever take away the pain of leaving your parent with others and the awfulness of dementia but the staff here do everything possible to ease this pain and for this, we are truly thankful.

The staff are lovely, I don’t know how they manage to remain upbeat through all this Covid chaos. It has created so much extra work for people who already had a difficult job. They have made the best of a very difficult time and do their best to keep the residents’ spirits up.

We moved my gran into Hadrian Park just before the national lockdown and couldn’t be happier that we did. Throughout the whole of lockdown, Hadrian Park has ensured we were updated, had contact with my gran and that she was well looked after. Really happy that Care UK have kept us updated via letter
too through the whole pandemic.
Since lockdown has eased, management have allowed visits but balanced it with the current risk of Covid-19, it all runs very smoothly. The home itself is always clean and the staff are always friendly and visible. Throughout her time at the home, Gran has commented on how much she loves the place and the staff. Couldn’t recommend the place more highly.

Job Title: Home Manager

I was keen to join Care UK because it is known as one of the best providers of older peoples care. I'd heard about how supportive the organisation was and had actually managed a local residential home. Hadrian Park was our biggest rival, so when a suitable role came up here, I grabbed it with both hands!


I love having a chance to have a chat with the wonderful residents of Hadrian Park. Their lives are incredibly interesting, and each person has a story to tell. I feel extremely privileged to be able to care for them and support them, particularly through the difficult times of the pandemic.


I also feel very privileged to work with such a fantastic team. Each person who works at Hadrian Park is passionate, caring and always puts residents first. Its what makes our care home so special and what enables residents to live fulfilling lives.


Away from work, I unwind by spending time with my family, reading, watching documentaries and enjoying holidays in the sun.
