Situated In the Oxbridge area of Stockton On Tees, Park House Rest Home is a small family run care home offering residential and residential dementia care while maintaining a homely environment, the home is within walking distance of Ropner Park.

The extensively trained team will deliver all the specialist care and support services that loved ones require. Staff are always on-hand to answer any questions about this important next stage in yours or your loved ones life, and to guide you through the process, every step of the way.

My aunt came to stay for a two-week break. She loved it so much that she decided to stay forever. She classed the staff as excellent and looked on them as her new family. Thank you all.

My auntie has had the best last years of her life. It was the best decision we made. Staff are tremendously polite, professional and accommodating. From management, filtering down, nothing has been too much. Her final days were made the best that she could ask for. Massive thanks.

When it became obvious that mother needed care. We started to look for somewhere not too far from Oxbridge. By chance, Park House was the first one we visited. We liked the family atmosphere of the residents and staff. As a family, we visited 21 more care homes in the Stockton area. In the end, we agreed
that Park House would be the place for her. Most of the staff have been there a long time which always says a lot about any organisation. Mother's health was very poor on entering Park House but with the attention and care of the staff, she improved. She enjoyed over two years in Park House. Pre-lockdown they had trips out and had a number of activities and special celebrations when the home was decorated. In her final days, the staff spent time with her and kept us updated on her condition. They made arrangements for family visits. Nothing was too much trouble. Three members of staff attended her funeral and they posted a lovely tribute on Facebook. Thank you Park House.

My mother has dementia and we needed to find a good care home for her close by so that we could visit frequently. My mother was really worried about going, but once there, I called every day and I could tell from her voice that she was happy and content. She praised the staff during each conversation
and that's how I know I made the right decision when choosing park house. I can't thank them enough for making her feel so welcome and for making her time there an enjoyable experience. It really puts my mind at ease, knowing she is happy during this difficult time.

Due to continuing restrictions, visiting has been difficult. However, Park House have an outside visiting pod which helps give a feeling of closeness. It is reasonably comfortable and heated. Staff stayed during the visit to help my Aunty with the telephone. They helped keep her focused and listening,
giving encouragement to answer where possible. They are always very attentive to her needs. My Aunty has been hospitalised and in isolation recently so these visits help to reassure she is happy and well cared for. Park House staff keep me up to date via telephone and photos (Facebook), I have no doubt and have every faith that Park House has not slipped since we were last indoors.

It's very difficult when faced with a relative's frailty and having to decide on ongoing care. My aunt was in Park House for just over a year. She settled there immediately and was very happy. The staff ratio was very good and they were all kind, considerate and empathetic. My aunt could not praise
them highly enough. There were regular, entertaining, social activities, outings and treats. I visited regularly and found the other residents to be equally happy. The meals were excellent and varied. The home was clean, bright and welcoming – a home from home. I feel very fortunate to have chosen Park House for my aunt’s care in her twilight years and highly recommend it.

My dad has been here for around 4 weeks now and although, as a family, we were very apprehensive about the change from living independently to living in the care home, it has exceeded all expectations. Dad has settled in extremely well and being here has given him a new lease of life.

I visit one of the residents each week and am very impressed with Park House. It is a very homely place and the staff are very kind and attentive to the needs of residents. Visitors are made welcome and offered tea or coffee. There are plenty of activities which residents may join in if they wish, thereby
providing mental, social and physical well being. The owner of Park House cares about the residents, as do the staff, and I often see him talking with residents.

My father entered Park House for respite care after undergoing replacement hip surgery. I visited him most days during his 13-day stay. His accommodation was first class, the food was excellent and there was always a choice. The staff are fantastic and always took the time to sit and talk with my dad.
On each occasion I visited, there was always an activity for the residents. I am convinced that the stay in Park House has accelerated my dad's recovery.
