Wynyard Woods is located within the Wynyard estate near Billingham. The home continues to welcome new residents and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 50 residents in single en-suite rooms.

Tailored dementia care is provided, where the home has a 3D interactive dementia-friendly environment on the first floor. This includes shops, a vintage railway carriage and other areas designed for the enjoyment of the residents.

Staff receive on-going training in dementia care to ensure those living with dementia are cared for in the best way possible. By getting to know its customers and building relationships, Anchor provides focused, compassionate care.

I could not wish for a nicer care home for my mum. Staff are caring, helpful and keep the family well-informed of Mum's issues, including how she thanks staff when they have supported her with a task. Staf put residents and families first. The home is very clean and well-presented. Nothing is a problem
to staff if you need support. Thank you to all staff, including kitchen staff for good meals.

Dad seems happy here. The food is good, and he settled in quite quickly. Girls are friendly and accommodating to anything you ask for. It would be nice if there was an activity coordinator for stimulation for the "downstairs" residents. The girls are very busy and run-ragged doing their jobs, and it's
not fair for them to have to do. Just a thought.

From the moment I came to make a fact-finding visit everything seemed right for my mum. All the members of staff greet you with a "Hello" and a smile and always very pleasant. Care is excellent and mum is very well looked after. Thank you.

My dad has been living at Wynyard Woods for a few months now. He was initially unsettled as it was a new environment for him but the staff worked with me, my family and my dad and he soon became settled. All staff learnt about my dad's needs and idiosyncrasies very quickly. The team leaders and staff
work incredibly hard and go above and beyond to engage with residents, provide them with daily activities and demonstrate high levels of care and concern for all residents. Staff keep our family updated regarding my dad's mood, health and well-being and we are happy to say that we can rest assured that he is well looked after and cared for,

In October 2022 I was reluctant for my husband to go into a care home but it was taken out of my hands by the doctor and hospital. Now I come home after visiting knowing he is very well cared for and happy. The staff are remarkable, friendly and caring, also to myself and other members of the family.
We feel that we are part of their family, telling me how my husband has been the previous night. Any questions I ask the manager or senior staff is answered to my satisfaction.

My Dad goes into Wynyard Woods care home on a regular basis for respite.
He lives in a flat next door to the home and has been a regular visitor since moving in 13 years ago for Sunday lunch and prior to my Mum passing away she used to visit the hairdresser there regularly.
The manager, deputy and
the team have been absolutely amazing over the years to my Dad and late Mum inviting them (pre Covid) to events which they thoroughly enjoyed.
I cannot praise the friendly staff who look after my Dad more highly.
I go on holiday safe in the knowledge that he will be well cared for and I can enjoy a stress free time.
This will continue to be our number one choice for my Dad's respite.
My Dad has known the manager from day dot and his pet name for her is 'cheeky'...by no means used in a derogatory way, just in an affectionate way.
The place is spotless and he loves the food he is served. If he has one very small criticism he wishes there were more activities/trips out. He loves playing dominoes with one of the care workers.

My dad moved into Wynyard Woods in January 2022 following the death of my mother. It has been a very positive experience for all of us. The home is very clean and comfortable, it smells fresh (unlike other homes we visited). The staff are friendly and interact with my dad with genuine care and compassion.
Very happy so far.

We visited a lot of homes in the area whilst looking for a placement for my mother, we found that the facilities and care provided at Wynyard Woods were of an exceptional standard. As healthcare professionals, we spoke to people in the local area and the home came highly recommended. As my mother is
a very sociable person she has found the daily activities both enjoyable and stimulating and the staff are amazing with the activities. As you can imagine finding the right care home to place your loved one in can be a worrying and upsetting time but the care my mother is receiving is excellent and second to none and we are very happy with the care and kindness she is being given.

My mother came for respite care and decided to stay. The staff are kind, friendly, welcoming, accommodating and often overworked (understaffed?). My mother has received nothing but kindness since she became a resident. She is happy and content and has a trusting relationship with the staff. They are
kind and thoughtful to me also. My mother loves the food, which is good home-cooked meals and plentiful.

Care is good. Aunt is happy so I am happy. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a recent diarrhoea and vomiting outbreak. I was informed of the lockdown however I was not contacted to say it was over. Having to book a slow to see Aunty is a pain because I see her in her room so I don't understand
what having a slot achieves. I live very close by and it would be good to be able to just drop in.

Generally very good. Staff are excellent and safety especially since covid has been excellent. The facilities are quite good - however the bath does not work and there appear to be no plans to fix it. I think this needs to be sorted. There is very little entertainment and my mother gets very bored.
This has been made even worse with the restricted TV service from Bilsdale.

We are aware of the problem with the bath, unfortunately it has taken longer than expected to be able to secure the parts that were required to fix this; however the engineer now has the parts and this will be fixed shortly. My mam has been a resident since August 2020. Since my mam came to Wynyard Woods she has been very happy as all staff are very friendly and entertain residents to stimulate their brains and mobility especially when like Mam they have dementia. Family enjoy the videos posted especially through the long
lockdowns. I can't praise all the staff enough for the care and fantastic cleanliness. Thank you all so much.
