Very good care home, facilities are of a high standard and well maintained. Staff are well trained, have very good empathy and are highly competent. Position on the promenade at Arnside gives a lovely view over Morecambe Bay which my mother enjoys. Local trips and in-house treats and entertainment are
frequent.
My father died recently and the end of life care he received at Holly Bank was of the highest order. Care staff in the home and the local District Nurse team worked together to very good effect.
The decision to place your parents into full-time residential care is not an easy one and I'm glad I choose Holly Bank. They refer to the Holly Bank 'family' and this is no exaggeration.

On walking into Hollybank Care Home, you feel care, love and safety. Staff are so kind and pleasant, they treat residents like their own family. The home is clean and fresh had has beautiful views, a nice garden area where you can sit out. They have people in to entertain, trips out and make use of
local facilities. They play table tennis. I am able to eat there if I want to when I visit, always offered a drink. I am happy my mam is happy, safe, well cared for and it's so handy for me, my family and friends to visit anytime.

I cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my dad since he went to Holly Bank last October to the present day. I love seeing the photos on social media of what he has been doing. The level of care shown to him is outstanding. I know he is settled and happy. I can fully recommend this care home.

Mum moved into Holly Bank 2 weeks ago. The staff have made her feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Food preferences are catered for. Care is very good and the staff very respectful. Families are made very welcome. I would recommend this caring home.

Fabulous home. The staff are always very welcoming. Always very clean and smells lovely. Family members are always clean and very well looked after. Meals looked lovely and were told they enjoyed the food and felt safe and cared for.

Initially me and my daughter chose Holly Bank from a list of 6 care homes given to us by the hospital and you will see from the options below we never had any regrets. The staff's attention to detail whether care, admin or catering, was excellent. During a lucid period, my wife said, "I love this place,
it's so quiet." That and the outlook combined make Holly Bank so wonderful. One example was during the end-of-life care when a hospital bed was brought to her room, enabling her to sit up, it helped so much.

When my partner needed residential care we checked several places but on most counts, Holly Bank scored higher than the others.
Apart from it's lovely location, it is well managed and the staff are always helpful and caring. The communal rooms are pleasantly finished, clean and airy, and it has a 'content'
atmosphere.
I was pleased when my partner was able to take up residence and I now know she is happy being looked after by a proficient, caring team.

This lovely Victorian building has excellent views over the estuary and the railway viaduct, the tidal bore being something to behold. My 95-year-old mother has resided in Holly Bank for the last ten years, a testament to the wonderful care she has received from the dedicated and professional staff.
The home has a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with plenty of laughter and varied entertainments, crafts and celebrations of all kinds. All birthdays are celebrated and everyone gets a special cake. There is entertainment provided by professionals plus regular visits by the local vicar and his team to sing songs and prayers. The home and all the rooms are comfortable and kept very clean. The local doctor's surgery and the nurses are regular visitors to the home with scheduled appointments and checkups. The food is excellent and special dietary requirements are fully catered for. Residents are kept clean and tidy and all medical issues are dealt with in a caring and respectful manner. I would unreservedly recommend Holly Bank and their dedicated team to anyone looking for a genuine home-from-home care home.

Holly Bank is situated in a beautiful location and a lot of the rooms have stunning views overlooking the local estuary and the fells. The staff are really kind and considerate and the room where my father is staying is kept very clean as is the whole building. I would have no hesitation in recommending
this care home for anyone who is eligible.

I would like to thank all the staff who cared for my mother for over two years until she died just before Christmas. As I live far away and given the covid travel restrictions, I was especially grateful to know she was in such safe, kind hands throughout this period. I know she felt loved and part of

The location is beautiful which is lovely for Grandad as he likes looking outside if there is activity going on.

Holly Bank care home and staff work tirelessly keeping my Auntie safe and well.
Throughout this pandemic of COVID-19, they have managed to keep virus-free and provide not just residents but relatives with the reassurance we all need that our loved ones are safe.
The minute you walk into Holly Bank
it feels like home; everyone feels like family.
I cannot recommend Holly Bank highly enough for anyone who has to make the heartfelt decision to put their loved one in care.

Holly Bank is a lovely home located on the estuary at Arnside with superb views up and down the river and across to the Lakeland Fells.


My father was resident at Holly Bank for 16 months. He was very well cared for by all the staff, especially so after this last Easter when he started a sharp decline

which led to his recent passing. During this period the care shown to him and myself by the team has been exemplary; they respected his wishes, provided for his increasing care needs and kept me informed at all stages.


I would unreservedly recommend Holly Bank and their team to anyone looking for a care home.

I am very happy that my wife is in Holly Bank. I live 10 minutes away and I am getting on a bit, so the home is nice and handy for visiting. The staff at Holly Bank are very friendly and treat my wife and I like family. My wife is very happy her and very well looked after and she is always well dressed
and well fed.


My wife sits in the conservatory with one of the best views in England to look at. My wife gets on well with the other residents.

I have 2 parents in Holly Bank mum first has dementia. She loves the views and says the staff are kind. She has all medical care provided in the home, podiatry, dental, hairdresser and is comfortable. Dad aged 93 now, struggled at home was urgently admitted to hospital but was unsafe to go home. Holly
Bank went out of their way to find a room for him. Him and mum, 89yrs, now sit together again and hold hands (or drop to sleep together).

Holly Bank is in a beautiful location my step-mum has a lovely room with a view over the estuary. The food is excellent and she is always dressed in clean clothes for her room is always nice and clean and the staff are very caring. A hairdresser comes every week and one of the staff gives the ladies
a manicure and varnishes their nails which they love. Although suffering from dementia she is happy there and regards it as her home it took her a while to settle but that was more due to her own incapacity but the staff were nice and she loves them all. We are often invited to celebrations the Christmas Party is always looked forward to.

Anna joined Hollybank as the registered manager in 2023 and has been an asset to the home.


QCF 5 in Health and Social Care, Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management. Anna has worked her way up to Registered manager, starting with working as a physiotherapist for 5 years, and Senior Carer for 6 years at Cumbria View Care Ltd. She then progressed to A supervisor/ relief manager at Applethwaite Green, and then on to Branch Manager at Routes Healthcare. Since joining Hollybank Anna has worked closely alongside staff to ensure that the standards of the home are maintained to a high level, and she supervises all the work undertaken in the home along with organising all training.
