Chilton Care Centre is in the former mining village of Chilton and the Mainsforth Collieries.

The purpose-built care centre specialises in residential and dementia care for older people.

There are 22 bedrooms upstairs and 18 bedrooms downstairs, each with the benefit of an en-suite shower room.

Chilton Care Centre organises regular activities enabling residents to pursue new and existing hobbies and maintain past times.

Staff work hard to ensure individuals retain their independence, privacy, dignity and way of life in a caring environment.

Manager and staff are always very helpful, making time not just for myself but others who come to the home to visit or stay. Always willing to support resident, showing respect at all times. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and very friendly.

My dad went into Chilton Care Home at the end of January 2019. He only spent 6 weeks there before, sadly, passing away. I must say that the quality of care he was given there was 100%. The staff were lovely with him, he was cared for very well fed and made to feel happy, they had him singing and dancing.
Whenever I left him I always felt content and happy that he was ok. They really are like one big, happy family there. Very well done ladies.

My dad was made welcome and was well looked after. All staff were friendly and made family welcome and they could not have done more than they did for my dad.
Lovely environment and atmosphere in Chilton Care Centre. Everyone is more than helpful and friendly. I made some friends with other residents
whilst dad was there.
My dad thought he was in a 5-star hotel family thanks to staff.

My mother has been in the care home for 5 months.
She has lived in Chilton all her life and I was pleased to keep her in the village where she has many friends and family.
The transition process from hospital was smooth and efficient and the settling in process worked well. I find the staff helpful
and approachable.
