My father was a resident in this home for 12 months before his death at the age of 95 years. Throughout this time he was cared for with dignity and consideration by all staff who had contact with him. From initially being reluctant to become resident in a care home, he very quickly adjusted to his surroundings
and soon felt very comfortable and safe with great support from all staff.
I visited him regularly and invariably found staff to be welcoming, helpful and responsive to his every need. Their approach was totally professional but always with a personal touch and my father's only comment when asked about the nurses was, "they are wonderful".
I would have no hesitation in recommending this home and am so pleased we chose it for my father. It is always a potential source of worry when placing a relative in residential care, but St Aidan's was reassuringly the right choice for my father and the standard of care exceptional.

It's 14 months since my Mum moved into St Aidan Lodge. Before deciding on a Care Home we looked round several, all were good but Mum required EMI support, and being prone to falls, she also required a low rise bed and Aidan Lodge could provide both of these. So despite being somewhat limited in choice,
we realised very quickly that Mum ( and her family) were in good hands.
The staff are extremely welcoming and very supportive of what is a very difficult time for everyone.
We were able to furnish Mum's room just as she wanted it, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
One of the nicest things about St Aidan Lodge is that the staff really try to get to know the residents, their background and their families. I can echo what another reviewer said, when you leave the Home you can do so in the knowledge that your loved one is in good hands.
The only thing that is missing is WiFi because many elderly (with help) use skype to stay in touch with family - particularly grandchildren.

When looking for a Care Home for Mam we were very impressed with St. Aidan Lodge. We are so pleased we chose this Care Home. Mam has been a resident for over a year and during this time has had a high standard of care and is very happy and content there. I would recommend St.Aidan Lodge, everyone is
welcoming, friendly and very supportive. Rooms are to a high standard and are kept very clean.

The help and care St Aidan Lodge have given us and my Grandmother from the first phone call to becoming a resident has been exceptional. The staff have been very keen to ensure we know that this is now her home and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very nice, light, bright and comfortable with
an ensuite toilet and basin. The food is delicious and there is a great variety and choice. Activities are held daily and are fun and stimulating. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

St Aidans is a true caring home, the staff are all friendly from the cleaning staff to the top management. My mam lived there for 3 happy years, the place itself is kept clean and tidy and feels like home for the residents. Mam suffered with dementia/alzhemiers, the staff gave mam a great quality
of life, they were attentive, encouraged her to do things for herself when she was still able. They have a great team who encourage and support residents. Please be rest assured if you are looking for a caring and loving homely environment, you couldn't choose a better place, every time I left mam after visiting her I felt rest assured she was totally cared for and in a safe environment where she was treated with help, support and love.
The staff at St. Aidan's are true carers and my family and I can't thank them enough for everything they did for my mam.
