We visited my mother-in-law at the care home and found it to be a wonderful experience. The staff were fantastic and very caring, they clearly care passionately about the people they care for. It was a joy and pleasure to visit her in such a caring environment.

I had to place my mum into a home. Visited ten plus care homes in the area. Grosvenor was the home I felt happy with as safe, clean and tidy. Smiling staff and very helpful manager. Can always discuss decisions with staff and always get resolved. The excellent care received during Covid-19 has been
very hard but know my mum is well looked after.

My dad stayed for a week while he has a care package out in place at his home. He felt welcomed and secure. He said the staff were kind and friendly. Special thanks to the staff for the guidance to ensure that my dad had a comfortable stay. Thank you.

Since admission when I was in severe pain and pretty helpless, I have felt safe and secure. Every effort was made to make me comfortable. Over the months I have improved but am now a permanent resident.
I feel happy. Staff are great - and the atmosphere is also great. What is more, my family are pleased
and relieved.

Staff are very caring. Food is fair but bland. Lack of stimulation, apart from TV and rare activities.

My mum has lived at Grosvenor Park Care Home for approximately three years, She was nervous at first and unsure what to expect but the staff spent time with her to make sure she settled well.
The staff know my mum very well and keep me well informed of her care. They have adjusted their care given
as her condition progresses.
Staff are professional, caring, helpful and nothing is a problem. I would highly recommend this care home.

I am a qualified nurse who has worked in many care homes for an agency so I feel I am in a good position to comment. I enjoy visiting my friend in somewhere where it is clean. The staff are friendly and have time to stop and talk. The bells are always answered promptly and I am made to feel welcome.
Also, the staff seem content - well done.

It is my experience that Grosvenor Park Care Home is one of the best homes in the area. The care provided is excellent, the staff are friendly and it is spotlessly clean.
My dad says it's like a five-star hotel. It eases the pressure off the family to know he is safe, happy and well looked after.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.864)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.864) out of 10 for Grosvenor Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.226 for Grosvenor Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (46 Excellents x 5) + (44 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.226

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.638 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Grosvenor Park Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.2 = 0.738

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
