My mum is currently a resident at Meadow Park and she speaks very highly of the staff she has even nominated two night shift staff for how lovely they are with her. My mum is only 59 years old and making the decision for her to be in full-time care was the most heartbreaking decision to make however
knowing that she is in Meadow Park make us as a family feel at ease as we know she is getting the care she needs

I work in a domiciliary optician and have visited Barchester Meadow Park Care Home on countless occasions as a healthcare professional. Every time you visit it feels like the residents home, that you are visiting your grandparents in their own hose, not like a care home establishment. The staff are
always professional but approachable, friendly and loving to the residents in their care, although they are always busy, they always have time for you. My mam has vascular dementia and when we could no longer care for her at home, this was the only place I felt I could trust with her care. It took a while for her to settle into the home but its lovely seeing the updates on the social media pages with all the activities they have. I could never thank the staff enough for the love and kindness they've shown my mam during lockdown. Its been a tough year but I know she's well cared for here. From the bottom of our hearts as a family, many thanks to you all.

Fantastic care home, Mam was taken into care and this was a very upsetting time for us. I am very happy with the care home and the staff are great with Mam's needs. They made us feel very comfortable knowing Mam is being cared for properly, management staff are fantastic too, very happy.

I would highly recommend Meadow Park as a 5-star care home. My wife was admitted into the home for a respite stay, which was a very difficult decision to make for the family. The reassurance is given from the home, care and dedication my wife received whilst staying there were outstanding! My wife has
now come home and only speaks highly of the staff for there upmost person-centred care! Fantastic home, and we most definitely use it again. Thank you to all of the staff and management; we can't thank you all enough.

My mother-in-law has just been in Meadow Park for a respite stay and she has thoroughly enjoyed her stay. She has spoken very highly of all the staff. I can’t thank them enough for the 1st class care that they provide, I would recommend this home 100%.

My mother has been a resident of Meadow Park for the last 3 years and I have been very happy with her care. The staff are helpful and caring and always keep me informed of any problems or changes with her health. During the difficult past 12 months with covid, they have kept my mother safe and it has
been lovely to be able to visit her in the visiting pod. The Facebook page has been a great addition as I regularly see pictures of my mother enjoying herself.

I cannot thank the whole team enough for the care my mother receives, she has lived in Meadow Park for well over a year and I cannot fault a thing. We as a family are more than happy with the care and communication we receive from the staff, and manager, and are greatly appreciative of everything they
do. The Facebook page the home has is great also with daily updates and fantastic daily activities. Great job everyone, and especially in such tough times.

This is a 1st class care home. Unfortunately, my dad recently passed away here but he was extremely well cared for during his 15 months there. My dad could be very awkward when he wanted to be, but staff took it all in their stride.
COVID has been extremely well managed and they have had no cases in
this home. Unfortunately, due to COVID I hardly saw my dad during his last months but, obviously, this was no fault of the staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Meadow Park to anyone.

I want to send a huge thank you to the staff at Meadow Park who are looking after my mam fantastically well despite the difficulties at this terrible time. My mam had her 90th birthday this week, and it was heartbreaking not to be able to spend it with her, but her carers did everything they could to
make it easier for us. They are also doing a great job by helping us keep in contact via video calls. I'm extremely grateful that my mam is being so well cared for, and I can't thank them enough.

Sadly Mam passed away recently but the care given to her over the two years she resided there was second to none. The care, love, compassion she received from every single member of staff was unbelievable. They go above and beyond what is expected of them. My family were welcomed and looked after during
her end of life care. Her room was well laid out, always spotlessly clean. All the meals are nutritious and homemade, amazing homemade cakes offered each day in the visitor's lounge. So pleased we found this lovely home for her with such amazing genuine staff. Thank you.

From the first moment I set foot in Barchester Meadow Park, I knew it was the place for mum. The general manager did her best to find a place for her and we have never looked back. The change in her is unbelievable and that is down to the fantastic job the staff do. The general manager and all of the
staff should be proud of the safe and secure home they have built.

Reply from Suzanne Hudson, GM at Barchester Meadow Park Care Home

The General Manager and her team recognise that when a person comes into our Home that it can be unsettling for both the Resident and Family. It is very important to us that you acknowledge that your Mum is receiving the best quality of care and support she deserves. Thank you very much for your review.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.528)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.528) out of 10 for Barchester Meadow Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.890 for Barchester Meadow Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (108 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 118 Ratings = 4.89

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.638 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barchester Meadow Park Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.2 = 0.738

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
