I have no problems at all with The Pines looking after my mother; she is clean, well-fed, looked after and happy. They keep us informed with a monthly letter, and I visit at the window or a video call.

My mother lived at The Pines for two years as she progressed through the later stages of dementia. She loved the homeliness of The Pines with washing blowing on the line and the smell of good home cooking. She participated in activities, was encouraged to join in with entertainment. Staff seemed to
know and anticipate her needs. They discovered her likes and dislikes, who she wanted to sit next to her. I couldn't praise the staff highly enough.
Eventually, Mam reached the final stages of dementia, where she was bedridden and we lost a little bit more of her each day. Even then staff treated her with respect and preserved her dignity, every task from bed changing to feeding was accompanied by a conversation. Mam was still a person and the staff never once forgot that.

My mother suffered from vascular dementia. We sought a new care home as a previous one did not meet her needs. We settled on The Pines as it felt like a home from home. Washing was hanging on the line and you could smell food being cooked. From the moment Mum entered The Pines she was treated with respect
and with great care. We were kept informed every step of the way, nothing was too much trouble. A cup of tea or coffee was always offered. At the end of Mum's life, we were all able to sit with her.

The care offered to my mother at The Pines has been nothing short of outstanding. My mam was treated with respect and dignity during her time there. Staff are paid (far too little in my opinion) for caring for residents but at The Pines, she was also cared about and that made the world of difference
to me. In Mam's last days, staff showed great kindness to Mam and her daughters which was much appreciated.
While Mam was alive she appreciated the home cooking and homely atmosphere.

The Pines is excellent. The staff cared for my mother with kindness, respect, compassion and dignity. They never lost sight of her as a human being and a much loved Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. She was always given choices and every action was explained to her. She was given reassurance. We were
always kept up-to-date with information about Mam's care. The home is beautifully clean and the food is good. The staff take pride in their work. We were able to visit anytime and welcomed. As our mam approached the end of her life, the kindness of the staff really helped us. We felt they really cared.

Lovely homely feel as soon as you enter, staff friendly and always around to offer help and support. I wouldn’t want my mum anywhere else. Lots of activities going on. Lovely home cooked meals they even invite family to enjoy lunch or tea with loved ones.

Always clean and tidy. Never smells of urine. I have been in bigger and posher homes and they have smelt of urine. Always happy and friendly staff. I can always come and get a warm welcome whatever time of day it is.
