Can't praise the staff enough, absolutely amazing team. The managers went above and beyond to accommodate my nan and were so kind and caring to us as a family. Lovely place with a lovely family atmosphere and all residents are so well looked after and cared for. We are extremely grateful to everyone
at the Cherry Tree. Highly recommend it here for anyone looking for their loved one.

Everything about the care home is exceptional and of a very high standard.
The staff are extremely caring, kind and gentle along with being professional and have excellent skills with elderly mentally infirm residents.
The management cannot do enough for residents and are very attentive towards them
but also will do anything for family members to help ease the initial transition and anything thereafter.
The owners have made some wonderful changes/improvements with a lovely visiting pod, ‘tea room’ for residents and always keep the gardens lovely. There are gorgeous floral murals in many areas and regular visits from the hairdresser/beauty care team.
During the lockdown/Covid period it was a safe haven from the virus.
Staff moved in for weeks and it was in total lockdown protecting the residents and staff.
Winning an award was completely deserved and everyone involved in this home should be proud - well done!

There have been lots of improvements since the change of management. Feel able to discuss with the Manager and senior care staff any issues I may have with my husband's care plan, at any time; know ing that they will be dealt with sympathetically and resolved as soon as possible. All staff are polite,
friendly and respectful.

Whilst staying here, I have always found my dad well cared for. The staff have been excellent - encouraging my dad with his day to day needs, without taking his choices away from him.
I have always found the staff friendly and they have time to listen to any concerns I have.
Dad's bedroom is very
nice and always kept clean. He does appear to have settled here.

Caring staff but seem a bit overstretched at times. A few times there haven't been enough staff around.

My mother-in-law has been here for two years and is now at end of life. The care she has received before her palliative care was outstanding. As a family, we never thought it could get any better but her end of life care has been more than we could have given if we had cared for her ourselves. The staff
have been amazing. There are a few specific staff members that deserved to be thanked.

Dad has been here for the last 9 months after a series of falls and hospital stays. During his time here dad has received fantastic care. The staff are brilliant with him and are constantly talking to him and making sure that he is comfortable. Visitors are always made welcome and Cherry Tree has a
very homely feel.

Excellent care. Very clean, second to none. Staff very approachable nothing is too much trouble. Our friend always appears clean and tidy, well shaven and very well cared for. The staff brought trays of tea and biscuits on our visits and get to speak with our friend in a very private area of the home
(bar area).

My mother spent some time in Cherry Tree in respite care and I found everything to be of the highest standard. the staff were very respectful and caring and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
The manager and her assistant were very helpful with any queries raised and went out of their way to accommodate
them.
there is also close proximity to the surgery which was very useful to have.

Both my parents are residents at Cherry Tree and they are very happy. The level of care given to them both is excellent. My father has recently had a spell in hospital - his illness was quickly identified by the staff who know him well and the correct action quickly taken, as well as informing me of
the problem. On my latest visit to see my mother whose birthday it was the home had cake and celebrations organised for her at tea time!

I feel when I walk into Cherry Tree very happy. My mother is always smiling and looks at home. She told me the first week she was there that anything she asks for she gets. Mum always looks clean and tidy her clothes always match. When I walk into her room it is immaculate we have made the best decision

From everything to the building there is a friendly atmosphere and a very safe environment. All staff know what has happened to my mother and keep us up to date with her condition. Mother's room is both very clean with a bright outlook from the rest. The staff are all very kind with my mother, regardless
of her behaviour and health condition. We are informed about all aspects of her care.

Gaynor Jones

Job Title: Operations Manager

I started working at Orchard Care Group in May 2018, initially as the manager of Bay Tree House Care Home. Over time, I also began carrying out Operational Management Duties. I support both care home managers within the group with their roles around; policies, procedures, risk assessments and the health & safety statements and assessments. I also deliver training to staff in certain core elements.

In 1981, I left school and began working as an accountant but felt unfulfilled by this role so I studied to gain my Registered Managers Award (RMA) along with other important training and qualifications.

I have worked in adult social care since 1989 and have held a registered managers role in domiciliary services for complex needs over 5 counties in North Wales, have been involved in the development of extra care living schemes and have been a registered care home manager in both residential and elderly mental health care settings.

I am passionate about enhancing the lives of people who require care and support to live their lives with freedom and choice and where their independence is optimised. I like to listen to what matters to people and be part of or lead a team who can help achieve those desired outcomes.

The care industry can be very challenging and in 2020 into 2021, we have faced the most challenging of time with the Covid-19 pandemic and how it affected and is still affecting care homes. It has made me even more driven than ever to protect vulnerable adults and staff and to make a difference. Being part of a family-owned business has given that extra sense of belonging and we all work together to strive to deliver a person-centred service that is meaningful and the best it can be.
