Meifod & Vicarage Court is a residential care home, tailoring care provision to support a wide range of needs for people with age related conditions such as poor mobility, general ill-health, or mental needs due to dementia by the fully trained staff team. Situated in a quiet and pretty location in Wrexham, a family run business since October 2019.

Activities are offered in the home with music, crafts and quizzes, as well as external entertainers/musicians booked regularly. Outside patio areas with plants and seating are available.

Lunch and tea service is prepared by Apetito who have teamed up with Wiltshire Farm foods to provide nutritious meals catered for the care home sector. Apetito cater for all dietary and medical needs including malnutrition, dementia, diabetes, and an award-winning dysphagia range.

The home has spacious seating areas and eighty per cent of rooms have en-suites. Two chair lifts access the upper floor and a passenger lift for the lower floor. The home is secure with ample parking.

The home is proud to introduce Ally Cares, a sophisticated artificial intelligence night time monitoring system that uses sound and motion sensors to enable staff to identify residents' needs from anywhere in their room. This cutting-edge technology enhances night time safety and personalises the care by supporting uninterrupted, restful sleep and freeing up staff to deliver more personalised care, by supporting residents at the right time. They also use Nourish Digital Care Planning to record, and plan accurate and personalised care information for residents which saves in administration and is up to date and individualised for each person. Nourish Care integrates with Ally to allow for more accurate documentation.

We have been visiting our friend every week for three years and have always been impressed with the care and attention that she, and the other residents receive. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our friend is happy as are the other residents.

Meifod is a lovely homely place full of laughter and music. Moy mother-in-law is settled. Staff are very kind and helpful management always keeps us up to date. Food is nutritious. Rooms are nicely decorated and I'm happy to see that my mother-in-law is happy and enjoying life.

Gran is looked after by all the staff. They all are smiling and helpful whenever I visit. Gran has a comfy room in which she likes to spend time. We get regular updates about events from the management. It's comforting to see her happy and settled.

The carers are welcoming and friendly and attentive. The management are friendly, informed and professional. Lovely entertainment programme. The decor is tired along with soft furnishings and in need of modernisation and updating in communal areas and the bedrooms.

I am very happy that my dad is a resident at this home in particular.
He is very well cared for and has a very good time with the staff who are kind and caring. Dad often has a good laugh with his carers and they always have a sympathetic attitude when he isn't at his best.

My mum was very looked after and loved, the carers could not do enough for her. I knew leaving her there was a good thing and I could breathe nothing she was safe there. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to place a family member in Meifod & Vicarage Court.

In my opinion, Meifod is an excellently and efficiently operated care home. The staff in the home are very polite, helpful and always willing to listen and keep my brother and myself in the swim. Meifod is always very tidy and organised. My mother's appearance suggests that the dear lady's hygiene is
well-addressed. Mother is also well-attired and extremely well-nourished. All in all, Meifod is a thoroughly brilliant care home and anybody looking for a care home, I would recommend Meifod, always.

The staff in Meifod & Vicarage Court are all lovely and treat mum with a great deal of respect. Mum is also very happy and settled there, and they always seem to make sure she's presentable and more importantly has her dignity.
They are just as nice with everyone there, which seems to make for a nice
atmosphere.
It's been a difficult transition for us as a family, but everyone has been supportive and they always have a smile.
