Meifod & Vicarage Court is a residential care home, tailoring care provision to support a wide range of needs for people with age related conditions such as poor mobility, general ill-health, or mental needs due to dementia by the fully trained staff team. Situated in a quiet and pretty location in Wrexham, a family run business since October 2019.

Activities are offered in the home with music, crafts and quizzes, as well as external entertainers/musicians booked regularly. Outside patio areas with plants and seating are available.

Lunch and tea service is prepared by Apetito who have teamed up with Wiltshire Farm foods to provide nutritious meals catered for the care home sector. Apetito cater for all dietary and medical needs including malnutrition, dementia, diabetes, and an award-winning dysphagia range.

The home has spacious seating areas and eighty per cent of rooms have en-suites. Two chair lifts access the upper floor and a passenger lift for the lower floor. The home is secure with ample parking.

The home is proud to introduce Ally Cares, a sophisticated artificial intelligence night time monitoring system that uses sound and motion sensors to enable staff to identify residents' needs from anywhere in their room. This cutting-edge technology enhances night time safety and personalises the care by supporting uninterrupted, restful sleep and freeing up staff to deliver more personalised care, by supporting residents at the right time. They also use Nourish Digital Care Planning to record, and plan accurate and personalised care information for residents which saves in administration and is up to date and individualised for each person. Nourish Care integrates with Ally to allow for more accurate documentation.

Mum has only been here for 2 weeks, having been in hospital for over a month due to a safeguarding issue at her last home. They are a friendly bunch, some staff more than others. Like most homes, there was a staffing issue the other night, but staff were switched round to accommodate. As they are in
the middle of refurbishment I cannot give more info at this time.

My father has been at Meifod for four years. The staff have always been attentive and kind. The previous owners were ok but I feel the new owners have improved the home. I am very satisfied with his care.

The care and compassion shown to my mum and support to our family through this difficult transition was amazing. Staff are always around and have kept us informed of my mum's progress and any needs she has. We visit throughout the day most days of the week and always found my mum to be well cared for.
