My mother entered Daffodils Care Home in early February 2024. It was a very difficult start because Mum is a very formidable lady but it had to be done for her safety. The staff from the beginning were excellent and looked after us all not just Mum. My mother settled in a short time and often said,
"I like it here!" They even managed to get an assessment for her which the hospital had denied her. So glad I chose Daffodils for Mum. Well done.

1st time visit to my uncle who had recently moved to the home. Very clean and tidy, plenty of helpful staff. My uncle is smart and clean. Wholesome smell of food being prepared. His room was near and clean. Staff were very friendly with us, my uncle was happy there.

I am extremely pleased with the way in which all staff interact with my mother. She has several problems, including vascular dementia, severe hearing loss and poor eyesight. She can no longer watch TV, enjoy reading or doing puzzles but the staff go out of their way to try to involve her in whatever
is going on. They are aware of her preferences foodwise and ensure she eats and drinks well. She is treated by all with great care, dignity and respect. Her room is always clean and tidy and her personal hygiene is well looked after. Our family is always warmly welcomed whenever visiting.

I’m so happy with the care that my mother has received in The Daffodils over the last few years. The staff are so caring, and I can see that they have a genuine bond with my mother. Whenever I visit my mother, she always looks happy and appears to be looking younger rather than older, she has a wonderful
rapport with all of the staff, and I wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else.

Since my mother went into Daffodils at the end of January 2023 she has been treated with care and friendliness and not just as another old person but a friend. All the staff are kind, helpful and Mam has settled in well despite her reservations about moving here. Our family members are always greeted
with a smile and we know that she is being well cared for which gives us peace of mind.

The care is excellent in all aspects. The nurses are wonderful. They are so kind and ae empathetic and very caring. They all have a real sense of humour, which I feel is so important within the care setting. Everyone is so welcoming. The standard of cleanliness and food is second to none. My mother-in-law

The Daffodils Care Home and staff have been brilliant throughout the pandemic, keeping us informed of Mams wellbeing. Letting us speak to her on the phone, as well as setting the portal so that we can see and speak to her. They have taken good care of her, she is looking really well. This has been a
terrible time for the family, not being able to visit her, but made bearable by the fact that she is safe and well. Many thanks from all the family.

My elderly mother's situation both physically and mentally has worsened during the pandemic and we were placed in the situation of having to choose a care home for her. We chose The Daffodils as when she visited a friend previously she commented on how good it was. The care my mother has received at
The Daffodils has been excellent. The staff have really gone that 'extra mile' to help her settle. The staff have been exceptional, especially during these difficult times. They are very professional and keep us updated with any concerns or issues, and we feel well informed. Whilst we are currently unable to visit the staff without exception keep us informed and talk with genuine care and compassion. Whenever we ring they always have time to talk and when necessary reassure. I have every confidence in their ability to care for my mother as her dementia worsens. We are confident that we made the right decision.

I cannot praise the staff in Daffodils highly enough, the quality of care my Gran gets is second to none, the staff genuinely care about all the residents and have a happy and positive attitude with everyone, they are very thoughtful and you are made to feel very welcome when you turn up to visit, or
as it is in these Covid times, ring or video call.
The staff are very professional and update you with any issues or concerns, they talk to you openly so you know where you are, and they are easy to talk to should you feel you want to discuss anything of a delicate matter.
My Gran has thrived in Daffodils, and knowing the staff care and look after her so well is a massive weight off my mind, I would, and I do, highly recommend Daffodils to anyone who finds themselves needing a caring home that will do its best by its residents. Myself and my family are so happy we chose Daffodils for Nana.

The care that my mother receives at The Daffodils has been excellent throughout the entire period of her stay. The staff have been exceptional in every aspect, each and every one of them. I observe them to be highly professional and display exceptional genuineness, friendliness and warmth and compassion

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Sara has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Sara shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Sara remarked:


“It’s what I do best. I always wanted to assist people to have the best life they can, and I enjoy supporting people to achieve their outcomes and wishes.”


Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and caravanning. Her HC-One name badge states ‘Caravan lover’, as she tries to get away for some downtime every weekend to her caravan, she really enjoys campsite life.
