Mum has only recently moved to Ty Porth Care Home and has settled in well. She has been welcomed and looked after by every member of staff and feels comfortable and content. I have been kept fully informed and up to date with any queries we have had and nothing has been too much trouble. Mum was apprehensive
about making a move to Ty Porth but these have alleyed.


I am fully assured that she is safe and happy environment and being extremely well looked after.

My mother-in-law and father-in-law are both at Ty Porth. they are both really well looked after. The home provides excellent activities and make sure they are both included. The staff are all very approachable from manager to carer with all in between.

Only been visiting a short while but all the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Very helpful with any queries or concerns. She feels very settled at the home. Enjoying the activities on offer and the food. I am very pleased that she is in a happy environment and the full knowledge

I am very pleased with the care my mother received. She needs a lot of personal care which is done preserving her dignity at all times. Not only do you care about her physical health but also her mental health. The carers are always pleasant with a lot of banter which my mother likes. Well done all

My father has been a resident for two years. His care and environment have been of a high standard throughout. This weekend he has approached end of life. The staff have been a huge support, not only to my father but also to my husband and I. As always, gone above and beyond what one would expect of
them. The home is a lovely environment which is richly enhanced by its wonderful staff.

This is such a wonderful nursing home and I am so happy that we chose this for my mother as she couldn't have received better care.
She was a resident for three years and we never had any issues at all. The staff were always friendly, caring and eager to provide us with updates on how she was doing.
She had dementia and was treated with the utmost respect and affection and care was always taken to preserve her dignity.
We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this home.

Constantly having to tell them about care of skin conditions and the same excuses that it is being taken care of when it obviously isn't.
Food that is not suitable not cut food that needs to be chewed with no teeth, skins not removed that can cause choking.
Cleanliness is not how it used to be and
could certainly be improved.

From the minute I walked into Ty Porth Care Home, it didn’t feel like your typical care home, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. The staff are so hardworking, caring and kind, nothing is too much trouble. Since my uncle has been at the home he is happy and settled and always has a smile on his
face, we can’t thank everyone at the home enough as it had made a difficult situation so much easier.
As a family, we would recommend Ty Porth and sing their praises to everyone.

This is an excellent care home. All the staff work hard and do the best they can in a very difficult situation. It is a very specialist job and it is not for everyone. It is well run every day, providing food, dressing patients, seeing to their needs, showers etc. every day. It is extremely tiring for

Mum has settled very well and appears a lot happier after her move from a residential home. The care she receives is of a high standard and the staff are always happy to answer any questions we have. We are very happy with all aspects of care.

I am a close friend of the service user, an elderly lady of 93. I effectively organise the finances and general welfare support on behalf of a small group of friends, known to the service user in question. She has no close family members. The purpose of this review is to praise highly all the staff
members involved in the recent admission of this lady to Ty Porth and who continue to care for her. An absolutely outstanding, empathetic group of people.

Wow, amazing! It's not a decision you want to make, to put a parent into a nursing home. Our decision to choose Ty Porth was definitely the right choice. The staff are amazing, thoughtful and caring. Ty Porth always smells clean and fresh. Management are so accommodating and friendly. Mum's room is

I would like to thank every single member of staff for the care and respect that was given to my father during his time at Ty Porth. This care was also extended to us as a family while we spent the last few days of Dads life at his bedside. The care home was always immaculately clean, the facilities
first class and the food very tasty and well prepared. By far the best feature though was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff who made what was a very difficult time for us much more manageable. We always knew that when we left after a visit, that Dad was in the very best of hands. It would be unfair of me to name individuals for danger of forgetting a name, but they all do such a great job with a smile on their faces which has such a positive impact on the patients. If it was possible to give a six-star review, I would. I would thoroughly recommend Ty Porth to any family in need of a care home.

Stephanie

Stephanie Griffiths

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2016

Stephanie is the General Manager of Ty Porth Care Home, Steph is an experienced qualified general nurse that has been qualified for over 10 years.
Throughout Steph's career she has predominately worked in elderly care services both in the NHS and private sector. Steph started working in Ty Porth Care Home in 2009 and has been a care team member, a nurse, the deputy manager and now the general manager. She is always promoting the residents to maintain their independence and enhance the wellbeing of residents living at Ty Porth Care Home. No two days are the same for Steph, she thoroughly enjoys working at Ty Porth Care Home.


Julie

Julie Inch

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2020

Julie is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Julie has worked in the care sector for over 30 years and has been a registered nurse for over three years. Julie has been a valued member of the team since joining Ty Porth in Nov 2020. In April 2022 she was promoted to Community Manager and has overseen the delivery of care in our nursing care communities. Julie has taken up the post of Deputy Manager in August 2023. She has completed her QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management and is registered with Social Care Wales.


Julie is passionate about providing high standards of dementia care and end-of-life care.

Leah Howells

Job Title: Business Support Manager

Joined: 2022

Leah is new to Ty Porth Care Home and joined July 2022, although Leah has worked in Hallmark Care Homes since 2016. Leah has had many roles in these years and began her journey as a receptionist and developed to become to Hospitality Service manager and now in her most recent role at TyPorth as a business support manager. Leah is responsible for the hospitality at Ty Porth Care Home and is responsible for the new admissions. Leah thoroughly enjoys working at Ty Porth Care Home, the role is very diverse and no two days are the same! The role allows Leah to meet with new friends and family daily.


Louise

Louise Vaughan

Job Title: Business Administrator

Joined: 2020

Louise has worked worked at Ty Porth since August 2020, she began at Ty Porth Care Home as a receptionist and become the business administrator in March 2022. Louise has a wealth of knowledge in administration as she has worked in the role for 30 years! Louise enjoys working at Ty Porth Care Home as she enjoys building relationships with the residents and the families that live at Ty Porth Care Home.

Hannah is a dedicated member of our team. Her role as lifestyle lead is to plan and implement a meaningful activity schedule each week promoting a sense of purpose and wellbeing in our residents. Hannah also organises all home events and celebrations throughout the year and regularly fundraises for our homes chosen charities.

Lisa Benjamin

Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Lisa has worked at Ty Porth since 2007. Lisa manages our housekeeping team, ensuring the home is kept clean and the laundry services run effectively. Lisa is a team player and is willing to help all departments when needed.


Debbie

Debbie Hayward

Job Title: Residential community manager

Joined: 2009

Debbie has worked at Ty Porth since 2009. She began on the twilight shift and quickly became a full time care team member, progressing to senior care team member. She become the community manager in October 2018. Debbie manages both residential communities; the dementia residential and the general residential community. Debbie enjoys her role and the most important part of her day is knowing she has made a difference to the lives of the residents and seeing a smile on their faces.
