Ashton Park Residential Home is a large detached two-story building located in a residential area in Newport City Centre. The home is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to provide accommodation and personal care for 18 older people.

High standards of care are aspired 24 hours a day with fully qualified and trained staff towards maintaining a warm, pleasant and homely atmosphere.

My mother-in-law is a resident in Ashton Park and has been there for a number of years. She suffers from dementia and needs care and attention day and night. The staff at Ashton Park are professional, efficient and compassionate. They cater for all my mother-in-law's many varied needs superbly in a
very dignified, sympathetic and friendly manner. Ashton Park is a very welcoming and comforting care home and I would not hesitate in recommending it.

My mother has been a resident in Ashton Park for 3 years. As a result of her dementia she was unable to cope on her own and it was left to me to find a suitable care home. Ashton Park has proved to be the perfect choice from the very first day. The love and care shown to my mother by all the staff has
been excellent. They include her in as many of the activities as is possible and have even taken her on a trip to Barry Island. We can visit at any time at all and have always been warmly welcomed and treated with respect. The manager and senior carers are very approachable and willing to listen to and address any concerns I or my family may have. Finally, the rest of my family say she could not be in a better home.

My stepdad was placed here for respite and fell down the stairs when unsupervised breaking his arm. As he has dementia I would have expected the stairs to be either monitored by staff or have a safeguard to make sure he couldn't wander into danger.
His room was basic and the call bell was difficult
to identify as it looked like a light switch. I regret allowing him to stay here.
