Cartref Dyfi has been purpose-designed for a flexible approach to residential care needs, allowing carers to welcome requirements for respite, palliative and convalescence care, as well as those looking for dementia care.

Situated in the centre of Machynlleth with all of its amenities, the single-storey home is well equipped for modern care needs, while providing a homely stay. Pleasant lounges and a beautiful garden offer relaxing and comfortable accommodation both inside and out. All bedrooms are fully furnished and include 24-hour call systems.

All dietary and cultural requirements are taken account of during mealtimes, with the chef endeavouring to keep all tastes satisfied, and working closely with the activities co-ordinator to make sure themed events also see a satisfying range of food available.

Music, games, memory lane groups and arts and crafts are some of the activities that residents enjoy, with the home supporting as active and independent a lifestyle as possible.

My mother has been at Cartref Dyfi Care Home due to the house being adapted following leg amputation. As a family, we have nothing but praise for all management and staff. They have treated my mother with dignity at all times and nothing has ever been too much trouble. Food and cleanliness are all of
a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Cartref Dyfi to anyone looking for somewhere for their family members.

My mother was cared for at Cartref Dyfi Care Home for four years. As one would expect the staff were helpful and efficient. However, above all, they were caring and created a family feeling amongst themselves and the residents. I was always welcomed and kept informed of any welfare or health concerns

My mother has been resident at this care home for about 5 years now. She arrived with very mild dementia, which has progressed over the years. The staff have always been very attentive and treated her with dignity and respect. Nothing has been too much trouble for the manager or her staff. They often
go the extra mile - over and above the call of duty. The first thing my mother said when she arrived was how lovely the food was. She still tells me how much she enjoys it now. I am always made welcome and greeted with a warm smile when I visit her. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone. It is a great comfort to know that my mother is being looked after so well in my absence. I cannot imagine that she could get any better care anywhere else. A big thank you to the manage and all the staff.
