Llwyn Teg has been purpose built and designed to offer a high standard of care and accommodation. A team of friendly and experienced professionals are on hand to offer 24 hour, individual based care for short or long term needs as well as providing expert care to people who are living with dementia.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside close to the town of Llanfyllin, the home benefits from many local amenities. The landscaped garden with its patio, sensory garden and vegetable and herb patch is enjoyed by many on warmer days.

The chef gets to know each resident’s nutritional needs when they move into the home to ensure that the daily menu suits everyone’s tastes. A Nite Bite menu is available between 6.30pm and 6.30am if residents have extra food preferences.

The home arranges at least one monthly themed event which is tailored to residents’ abilities so that everyone can enjoy it. Llywyn Teg has a dedicated activity co-ordinator who arranges other regular activities for residents to benefit from such as canal trips and pampering sessions.

Llwyn Teg provided a safe and caring environment to live in when my friend could no longer look after herself at home. As her health deteriorated she was very well looked after up until her death. Llwyn Teg is clean and tidy and very well organised and the meal catering was excellent.

My mother knew Llwyn Teg well from visiting friends there before she went there to live. When the time came, she wanted to go there and lived very contently there for three and a half years until her death. Because her last year of life was during the COVID pandemic, it was even more important that
she enjoyed being there, enjoyed the food and loved and trusted the staff. It helped a lot that some spoke welsh.

Llwyn Teg Care Home does exactly what it says on the label. It is a home that cares beautifully for each individual resident on a personal level making everyone feel they are the most treasured resident there.
Support and encouragement for friends and relatives is equally given, generating real peace
of mind for all.
Staff go that extra mile to make it a real home from home.
I can not praise them all enough, I just hope there is room for me when I need it.

Generally very happy with the care given to my mother. It's been difficult not being able to visit and a shame there isn't a safe room to visit. Skype calls have been the only saviour. Most staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

The staff are truly amazing, very caring and helpful. I know my mother is in very good hands. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure relatives have some time to speak to loved ones during this pandemic.

I feel really content and happy here at Llwyn Teg. The carers have been really supportive and the care is 110% from them. Getting involved with company and the activities has really made me happy. I have not felt like this in a long time, since losing my husband and part of my family I feel as if I
have a new family here at Llwyn Teg.

I am moving my sister to be nearer home so that I can see her 2-3 times a week. Her care has been that good, I wish I could move all her carers with her. She has loved Llwyn Teg and has been sad about going. I hope the care at the new home is half as good.

My mother-in-law was a resident in Llwyn Teg care Home for 6 months up to her death on 8th August her care was excellent. All her needs were met and all the staff were loving towards her. All her family were very grateful for everything.

The manager facilitated a meeting with our Aunt to establish her hopes and desires for the future in relation to her home.
She led the meeting with a balance of care, humour and firmness which resulted in us feeling confident that we had established our Aunt's wishes correctly.

I hate being "in care" but Llwyn Teg is the best place to be. Kind staff, OK food, very welcoming atmosphere. I have poor sight and hearing but am helped when necessary.

Llwyn Teg is always welcoming and clean. Everyone is cheerful. The lounge is nicely furnished. You get a good feeling about the home. The member of staff who arranges residents activities etc is so good and kind and aware of the needs of the residents.

My mum suffers from vascular dementia and is spending more time in bed. She is so well cared for by the staff who go out of their way to make sure she is comfortable and give her lots of loving care.


Because we visit mum all day whilst she is unwell the staff also make us feel welcome.

It's the second time I have been here to recover post-operation. Staff courteous and welcoming and anxious to be as helpful as possible. Rooms are modest but comfortable and clean. Food is tasty and appealing and I was delighted when I was able to come a second time (first time was last year).
