Llwyn Teg has been purpose built and designed to offer a high standard of care and accommodation. A team of friendly and experienced professionals are on hand to offer 24 hour, individual based care for short or long term needs as well as providing expert care to people who are living with dementia.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside close to the town of Llanfyllin, the home benefits from many local amenities. The landscaped garden with its patio, sensory garden and vegetable and herb patch is enjoyed by many on warmer days.

The chef gets to know each resident’s nutritional needs when they move into the home to ensure that the daily menu suits everyone’s tastes. A Nite Bite menu is available between 6.30pm and 6.30am if residents have extra food preferences.

The home arranges at least one monthly themed event which is tailored to residents’ abilities so that everyone can enjoy it. Llywyn Teg has a dedicated activity co-ordinator who arranges other regular activities for residents to benefit from such as canal trips and pampering sessions.

Staff are very caring and attentive. Room always clean and tidy along with communal areas. Sometimes menu choices could be more varied but overall quality is good. Security is taken very seriously.

I am very happy with the care provided to my mother at Llwyn Teg. The staff are caring and hard-working and treat the residents extremely well. Ideally, I would like my mother to have more one-to-one interaction with the staff but I realise that this is difficult, given their workload. The food provided
is excellent and the facilities are generally clean and pleasant. Drugs appear to be administered consistently and efficiently. My mother often needs medical attention and this is generally provided appropriately, although I am increasingly concerned about her condition.


I would like to thank all the staff at Llwyn Teg for the way they care for my mother and for their helpfulness to me as her daughter.

Mum seems very happy with all the care and services provided to her. Mum has been in Llwyn Teg Care Home for two years now and we as a family see how all the staff treat mum with care, dignity and understanding, she suffers from vascular dementia. I come and support Mum and help with some activities
so quite involved with the staff. I have always found them professional, courteous and kind. Mum is always looking very clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Llwyn Teg Care Home to anyone - in fact, I think I will book my place now.

Always a lovely welcome from all of the staff. Very friendly and a compassionate way with the residents. The home itself is impeccably clean and tidy. Food is also very good compared to previous home my brother was in. All in all "home from home"- excellent.

My mother was a resident at Llywn Teg care home for almost two years. During that time she was extremely well cared for. She is Welsh speaking as her first language and as her dementia took a stronger hold, she increasingly conversed with the staff in Welsh. A strong bond developed and despite her increasing
frailty, it was heartwarming to see the quality of care and gentle humour staff displayed. The home responded well to changes in her dietary needs. They also were efficient in their management of her medication and in their communication to ourselves.

My parents came here in June 2016, unfortunately, Mam died last October. Both have received excellent care. No complaints at all. The staff are friendly and very caring. They both settled in very well after 75 years of marriage.
The food is also very good and there is also entertainment etc.

I can recommend Llwyn Teg Care Home as a first class home.
I was very poorly when I first arrived, I did not know where I was, but after a few weeks of loving care I put on weight and I started to feel better in myself.
I could not ask for a better place. The love and care has been first class.
I
will live here until the end knowing I will be well looked after.

Have been happy here since I came. I wish I could stay here for the winter if possible, I like my room very much. I am a little bored with my diet as it has to be liquidised, as I have a stent.

My first impression was that of a modern, comfortable hotel. The staff are extremely pleasant but at the same time very efficient at providing good routine, cleanliness, checking all medication and other medical needs and above all been observant and encouraging improvement and recovery where possible.
Safety was the forefront at all times.
