Mull Hall has had an impressive refurbishment with some wonderful spaces for the residents to enjoy. As well as the lounges, there is a new conservatory which is a wonderful space to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time. In the dining room, residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals from a menu which is very much tailored to the home, from roast dinners with all the trimmings to freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

With views over the stunning Cromarty Firth, the home is in a beautiful rural location. And outside, there is a children’s play area in the large gardens. During the summer the residents loved growing their own herbs in the garden for the chef to use in the kitchen.   

The staff are passionate about residents playing a very active role in how their home is run, from choosing the décor to providing feedback on everything from the activities to the menu.

Many of the team, including the home manager, have been with the home for over ten years, giving Mull Hall that warm, family feel. Two of the team have won National Care Awards for their devotion to enriching the lives of their residents.

The home is thriving, with so many activities to enjoy and trips out in the minibus to places the residents love to visit. From pub lunches, barge trips and community lunch clubs, to church visits, shopping and garden centres.

School children regularly pop in, treating the residents to musical performances, and a mobile hairdresser visits for appointments in the home's salon. There is a monthly church service in the home, and regular animal visits with Therapet. And the home also has two pet rabbits, Jack and Victor!

And there is a private family and friends Facebook page, where loved ones can see what the residents have been enjoying doing, even if they can’t be there in person.

I currently reside at Mull Hall care home. I chose to come into long term care due to a deterioration in my health and I found it difficult to manage at home. It was one of the best decisions I made. The staff are so helpful and nothing ever seems to be a problem for them. There's a happy vibe in Mull
Hall and the food is very good too I have even put weight on! I feel very happy here and feel I've settled in great.

I have been a resident at Mull Hall for the past 3 months whilst waiting on a new house in the community. I was nervous about coming in to stay, however, I feel so at home. The manager and staff are fantastic, it's more like a hotel and I feel I have made friends for life. I have, during my time, been
helping out the maintenance and kitchen team which has given me a reason to get up every day and maintain my independence. I will be moving to my new house soon but I will be coming back to visit everyone regularly. I will always highly recommend Mull Hall Care Home.

My mum has been at Mull Hall for nearly 2 years now and in the whole time has been treated considerably with great care and dignity by all the staff and team members there. You can tell by her smile how much she enjoys everything that the staff put on to keep the residents happy in their home. In fact,
given half a chance, I’d move in - she seems to be having more fun than I am! But joking aside when she needs extra care, when she’s been unwell and when she had Covid, the staff will go above and beyond anything you could possibly ask.

The staff at Mull Hall give their all to the care of its residents. I have two aunties who are resident and am forever impressed by the care they receive - from daily tasks to the staff hosting creative and engaging events. It's lovely to see the connection between staff and residents, which creates
a real sense of home. The circumstances of the past almost two years have been a challenge like no other, but the manager and her team have excelled in a situation which no one could have imagined: keeping those in their care happy, content and comfortable.

Mum has been living at Mull Hall Care Home since the beginning of September 2021. Over a year later, our mother, who has dementia, has settled in well and seems to be content in her new environment. All of the staff are very kind, caring and attentive and it’s very reassuring for the family to know
that our mum is in safe hands.


We cannot praise the staff enough. They certainly do go that extra mile to ensure the well-being of their residents and to give them the reassurance needed. In addition to the excellent care provided, the residents are encouraged to take part in a wide range of interesting, enjoyable and stimulating activities.


It gives us great peace of mind to know that Mum is getting the loving care and attention which she needs. The staff are truly wonderful.


You are doing a fantastic job in very challenging times, so, a big thank you to each and every single one of you at Mull Hall Care Home – you are simply the best!

My aunt was admitted to Mull Hall care home in July 2021, unfortunately shortly after moving in she had quite a serious stroke, although she is now paralysed down one side, had it not been for the prompt action of the staff in attendance things may have been considerably worse.
I cannot speak highly
enough of the staff at Mull Hall, always open to communication, willing to adapt and striving to do their absolute best in a difficult and often thankless job, top marks.

My mother is looked after to an excellent standard, and I feel that she couldn’t be looked after any better. When I visit I am always impressed with the caring attitude of the staff towards the elderly and their visitors, and the warmth and dignity that they show to everyone. I am always grateful for

Due to a decline in health, the wife and I placed my father-in-law at Mull Hall Care Home. The staff were always helpful and nice to my father-in-law even when he was a bit of a handful. The staff regularly kept in contact with the wife and I to let us know what was happening. On my father-in-law's
passing, the staff were very understanding and supportive towards our family during those hard times.

I have two sisters-in-law in Mull Hall who sadly have dementia. The team at Mull Hall are fantastic. They are very friendly and appear to have a real interest in ensuring that everyone who lives there has their needs met to a high standard and also they appreciate people for the individuals they are.
During the past year, it has been hard not being able to spend time with my sisters-in-law, but the newsletters that were issued have always been full of details about things happening within the home and lots of photographs with smiling residents. I can't praise Mull Hall enough. And am truly thankful to all staff who work there and do a wonderful job and that applies to every staff member. My sisters-in-law are so happy and content and that's all we could ask for as a family.

I visited Mull Hall to see my mother who has been in residence at Mull Hall for just over a year. She was admitted immediately prior to COVID lockdown. It has been a very difficult time for everyone, especially Mum, but the care and support that Mull Hall have offered over the period has been exceptionally
good. They have managed the situation very well - always putting the residents at the centre of their thinking. The manager and her staff have effectively and sympathetically communicated with family members always endeavouring to maximize telephone and virtual contact with Mum.
On arrival I was tested for COVID before being allowed to visit with Mum. All staff were welcoming and parameters for the visit were clearly stated. I was afforded an outside visit with hospitality which Mum and I enjoyed immensely.
Overall, I was reassured that Mum was being very well cared for within the 'Family Mull Hall' and that her needs are being appropriately met.

Described as a "hero" who enriches the lives of everyone around him, James was nominated for the way he goes above and beyond each and every day to do amazing things for the residents, their loved ones and his colleagues.

Sophie was the proud winner of the Care Newcomer Award in the National Care Awards 2021!


Sophie joined Mull Hall as a care assistant in 2020 and from the moment she arrived she devoted her life to the home, getting to know her residents as if they were members of her own family so that she can provide truly enriching person-centred care.
